Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a road hazard on US 42 near Rickard Rd. Officer observed a large piece of firewood in the roadway. It was removed without issue. Officer then returned to patrol.

Drugs - Other

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer observed a white Ford Pick-Up Truck traveling southbound on South Jefferson Avenue. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Kenneth Mounts and his passenger.  Kenneth was issued a traffic citation for the turn signal violation. Marijuana

West Main St.

Officer observed a black Honda Civic traveling eastbound on West Main Street at South Chillicothe Street. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle on South Chillicothe Street near Jackson Street and made contact with Hayden Morrison, the driver, and John Phillips, the passenger. Hayden was subsequently issued a citation for Stop Lights Required (PC ORD 337.24A) and a summons for Drug Paraphernalia (ORC 2925.141C). John was issued a summons for Possession of Drugs (ORC 2925.11A). Both parties were released from the scene. See case for further information.

Assist Other Agency

Currier Rd.

Officers were requested to assist the Union County Sheriff's Office in the area of Currier Road and Warner Road for a suicidal male. After assistance was no longer needed, both units returned to patrol.

Suspicious Person

South Chillicothe St.

Officer was dispatched to the area of the Bicentennial Park at Gay Street and South Chillicothe Street in reference to a suspicious person. Officer spoke with suspect who confirmed that he had been sitting at the Park and that everything was okay. Officer then returned to patrol.

East South St.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon arrival Officer made contact subject an and her son.  Officer spoke with him about the purpose of 911 and the importance of not abusing it. Officer then returned to patrol.
