On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant who stated that the restaurant received various calls placing prank orders for delivery.  Upon checking the receipts, the calls were placed by the suspects using the ‘Text Now’ app; which only provides the user temporary access to the phone number. Officer attempted to contact the numbers several times and did not get an answer. Officer followed up with the employees at Domino’s pizza and advised them Officer was unable to get into contact with the suspects. Complainant stated that he would just block the caller.

Drug Overdose

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location to assist Pleasant Valley EMS with a female who was unconscious and not breathing due to an overdose. Upon arrival, Officer observed female laying on her back on the couch unconscious and not breathing. Officer called out  female's name and used the sternum rub technique. Next, Officer administered 1 dose of Narcan nasal spray.  EMS arrived on scene. Officers then escorted medics through town. Afterward both units returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officers met with complainant at the listed location in reference to a telecom harassment. Officer learned complainant and her ex-boyfriend were in a domestic dispute earlier in the day. After ex-boyfriend left the residence, he began texting and calling complainant.  Complainant advised she wanted ex-boyfriend to stop contacting her. Officer then made contact with ex-boyfriend and advised him to stop contacting complainant. Ex-boyfriend was advised of the consequences if he continued to contact her. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer spoke with complainant by public service who advised  around 9:15pm an unknown white male, approximately 10 years old (stocky build) with blonde hair, rang her door bell.  Complainant advised when she answered the door the male stated he was just checking on neighbors in the area to see if they are okay. Complainant  advised that they were okay, then advised him he should leave. Complainant advised she then observed the male get onto a bicycle and leave being followed by an unknown male that appeared to be older with no other description of that male. The two subjects rode south toward West Avenue without stopping at any other houses. Complainant advised she just wants the Police Department to be aware. Officer thanked complainant for notifying PCPD of the incident.

On this date and time, Officer met with complainant at 201 North Avenue in regards to an animal complaint at the listed location.  Complainant explained that there is a skunk in the listed apartment.  Officer referred her to the Ohio Department of Wildlife and her landlord and told her the police do not have the authority to regulate that type of an animal.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of West Avenue and Carriage Drive in reference to a 911 Follow-up. Dispatch advised that on call back a man said that he was working in a bucket truck, had accidentally (pocket) dialed and that everything was okay. Upon arrival to the area, Officer made contact with Village of Plain City Public Works employee who was operating the bucket truck.  Subject confirmed that everything was okay. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference a juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant. Complainant advised that a short time earlier in the day she was walking her dog when approached several times by a white child approximately 12 years old wearing a blue t-shirt and red flip flops. Complainant advised he made small talk several times during her walk before the last incident, when he smacked her on her butt and ran away. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate the child. Complainant was advised if she observed the child to contact the police department. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a telecommunications harassment call. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant, an employee at the restaurant.  Complainant indicated to that they had received at least 50 calls non-stop in the last three hours for prank order.  Complainant stated that he believed it was the same two suspects from the previous night. Complainant further stated that the suspects were using fake phone numbers produced from a texting application. Officer spoke to the suspects via phone call from the restaurant phone.  Officer could hear someone answer the phone but no one responded after Officer attempted to identify them. Officer advised complainant that Officer would follow-up with him tomorrow.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference a criminal damaging complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the property owner, and several employees of Bowlin Energy Services contracted by AT&T. Upon further investigation, it was learned property owner was upset due to Bowlin Energy Services employees trimming a tree located near power lines. Complainant requested the Bowlin employees trim the tree further to help blend it in, which they agreed to do so. Bowlin Energy Service employees also apologized advising they believed the residence was a business and advised if they had known they would've made contact with the residents prior to beginning. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer observed a pickup truck parked on the east shoulder of SR 42 and North Chillicothe Street. Officer pulled up behind the vehicle and made contact with subject.  Officer asked subject if he was okay and if he needed any help. Subject stated that he was fine and that he was just tightening the lug nuts on his two front wheels because he thought they were loose. After Officer checked that everything was okay, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was given a wallet, by the Union County Sheriff's Office.  The wallet was found at Marathon, by an unknown person, who took it to their place of employment for safekeeping.  The subject then contacted UCSO to have them deliver it to PCPD.  Officer learned the identiy of wallet owner.  Officer contacted wallet owner to advised her that PCPD had her wallet.  Wallet owner advised that she would be in tomorrow morning to pick it up.

Recovered Stolen Property

On the stated date and time, Officer conducted a routine registration check on a black Chevrolet SUV traveling southbound on South Chillicothe St.  Officer learned that the vehicle registration returned to a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Marressa Crane, and her passenger, Orlando Gaines. It was then found that Orlando had a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear out of the Madison County Sheriffs Office. Orlando was placed into custody and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail where he was booked in on his warrant. Officer then made contact with owner of the vehicle registration who advised that she had never given permission to Marressa or Orlando to use the vehicle registration.  Maressa was later issued a traffic citation form Plates/Identification Mark belonging to another vehicle and No Valid OL. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.  Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle observed earlier in the day. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the business owner who advised for the last few days a black Honda Civic has parked in the northeast portion of the lot. Owner advised a white male driver stares at people while they are working out and makes his customers uncomfortable. Officer advised PCPD would keep an eye out for the vehicle if it was on his lot. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to non-injury accident.  Upon arrival, Officer met with Keith "Antonio" Giordano and the other driver.  Officer learned that the other driver had activated her turn signal in order to turn into the Dollar General.  Antonio, who was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram was attempting to exit Schrock Automotive.  Antonio thought the other driver was going to turn into Schrock Automotive, so he began to pull out to turn northbound.  In doing so, he struck the other car in the front passenger side.  Antonio was subsequently issued a citation for Failure to Yield-From Place Other Than Roadway (PC ORD 331.22A) and released.

On the stated date and time, Officer initiated a traffic stop with subject.  Upon making contact with subject, subject was visibly upset and stated that she "Had to get away from him". Officer contacted the Madison County Sheriff's Office, who arrived a short time later.  Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, Officer spoke with both parties involved.  It was found that female subject was backing out of a parking space when she accidentally backed into male subject's sedan.  This caused minor damage to the front driver side of male's vehicle. Both parties exchanged information. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer responded to the stated location in reference to a side mirror on a minivan that was missing.  Officer made contact with complainant who advised that when she parked her Honda minivan the prior night the driver side mirror was inside the mirror housing.  Complainant stated that when she entered the vehicle today she found that the mirror was missing. OfficerI observed no mirror fragments inside the side mirror housing or on the ground next to the vehicle or underneath the vehicle.  The mirror housing showed no sign of being struck by a passing car or other blunt force.  The mirror had been removed from the side mirror housing.  There were no security cameras near where her vehicle was parked to gain further information on the incident.   Officer then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer's responded to the stated location in reference to a verbal dispute.  The caller advised that her mother was in a heated argument with her boyfriend.  Officer made contact with subject who advised that she was in a verbal dispute with her former boyfriend over his property he was moving out.    Neither party had visible signs of trauma or any other injury.  Both parties did not wish to pursue charges against each other for assault.  Male subject agreed to have no further contact with female and was advised to not return to the property.  Both parties were advised to contact the police department for a civil standby if additional property needed to be exchanged.   Both units stood by as male removed his property and left the listed address.  Officers then returned to patrol.

Officer then made contact with Kristin and she was taken into custody without incident. Kristin was then transported to Tri-County Regional jail where she was released into their custody. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of State Route 161 East and old 161 in reference to a suspicious person. The original call was that there was a man walking outside of his vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with suspect who stated to that he pulled over and on the side of the roadway to walk his dog and wait for a "comet sighting." Once Officer saw there was no need for emergency services, I then returned to patrol.

The caller (who wished to remain anonymous) stated that subject had been outside early in the day arguing with several neighbors and causing a scene. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject inside his residence who immediately began to yell about misc. neighbors and his sister. Officer warned subject for Disorderly Conduct. Subject agreed to remain calm for the remainder of the night and cause no further issues. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was contacted by a female in reference to the possible sexual abuse of a juvenile. The caller (who wished to remain anonymous) stated that while playing with her young son he asked if she wanted to do a dance he referred to as "the bump". The caller stated that her son then had her sit down where he proceeded to dance in a way that she believed to be sexual in nature. The caller asked her son where he had learned this. He stated that he learned it on the playground from a classmate.  The caller stated that the juvenile should not be aware of that movement and believed the classmate may have been exposed to it in a sexual situation.  Due to both parties living in Madison County, a copy of this report will be forwarded to the Madison County Sherriff’s Office, as well as the Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a well-being check.  The caller stated that he had not seen or heard from his aunt in several weeks.  Upon not getting an answer at the door, Officer forced entry through a door on the west side.  Upon entering, Aunt was discovered on the floor, in the kitchen.  The Medic pronounced her deceased.  Units from the Union County Coroner's Officer arrived on scene and assisted.  For more information, see case.
