On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the area of Buggywhip Lane and Lantern Lane in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint. The caller stated that a 90’s era tan vehicle was driving through the neighborhoods at approximately 10 miles an hour. Upon arrival, Officer checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle. Officer then met with the caller who stated that he believed the vehicle left the area towards US 42. Caller thanked Officer for checking the area and Officer returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

US Rt. 42 N

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a blue 2019 Jeep Renegade,  fail to signal when changing lanes.  Officer then initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and passenger, Branden Lowe-Combs. Branden had entered and confirmed warrants out of Dublin Police Dept for Failure to Appear on a Traffic Offense and Madison Co. SO for Failure to Appear on Obstructing Official Business charges.  Upon further investigation, two glass pipes with drug residue and a used, capped syringe were located on Branden's person. Branden was charged with Drug Paraphernalia and Drug Abuse Instruments. Branden was transported to Tri-Co Regional Jail. Driver was released from the scene with a warning for Failure to Signal. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a solicitor complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with Christopher Clark who advised that he worked for Pest Connect and was checking with local residents to see if they would like to hire his business for pest control. Christopher was advised he was in violation of the solicitation law. Christopher was issued a summons for Peddlers/Solicitors. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow up. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that his phone accidently dialed 911 and that he did not need any assistance. After determining everything checked okay, Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up.  Upon arrival, Officer checked with subject who advised that he did not call 911 and checked with several other employees.  None of the employees had called.  Officer then checked the area and did not see anything unusual. Officer then returned to patrol.

Traffic Stop

US Rt. 42 N

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol  when Officer conducted a routine registration check on a gray 2010 Mazda 3 and learned the registered owner, Amber Jarvis, was a suspended driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop.  Amber was issued a citation for No Valid OL and Noncompliance Suspension. Amber's vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.  Officer transported Amber to her residence.

Fireworks

North Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of Converse Avenue and North Avenue in reference to a fireworks complaint. Upon arrival, Officer observed a small crowd of people observing suspect shooting off a Roman Candle style firework in his driveway. Upon making contact with suspect, Officer advised him of the complaint.  Officer also advised suspect that he could not continue to fire off anymore fireworks. Suspect then ended his fireworks display and was given a warning for using the fireworks.  Officer meant with reporting party and advised them that the complaint had been handled. Officer then returned to patrol.

Domestic Dispute

North Ave.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute,  The caller advised that the occupants at this location were again yelling and screaming at each other.  Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the listed parties.  Officers had been dispatched to this address earlier in the day for the same reason. When Officers arrived all parties were calm, but agitated.  After further discussion it was learned that juvenile was still being defiant, argumentative and refused to follow the rules of the house as established by his mother.  Juvenile's mother stated that this is an ongoing issue and confirmed that she would like to pursue with unruly charges.  Officer stood by until a ride arrived and transported juvenile to a friend's house so that all parties could calm down.  See case for further.

Parking Complaint

West Bigelow Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer received a call from PC Zoning Inspector about a vehicle that was parked in the right-of-way and needed to be moved.  Upon arrival, Officer observed a red Chevrolet Impala that was parked off the roadway, near the curve.  Officer made contact with the homeowner and advised her of the complaint.  Homeowner stated that vehicle owner was inside her house and she would deliver the message.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Telecom Harassment

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant who advised her daughter had received some vulgar messages from an unknown snapchat user.  Officer photographed the messages between both parties. It is unknown who the other snapchat user is. Officer then advised complainant to make sure that daughter takes her location settings off and to not add strangers on social media.  Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the intersection of South Jefferson Avenue and West Avenue in reference to a 911 Follow-up.  Officer patrolled the area and did not locate anything out of the ordinary.  Officer called the number and received a voicemail.  Officer left a message to contact Officer in regards to the 911.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible fight.  The caller advised that they heard multiple people arguing and possibly fighting at this location.  Upon arrival, Officers made contact with all parties. After further investigation it was learned that juvenile was being unruly and arguing with his mother and her boyfriend.  Juvenile was advised of the possible consequences for being unruly and mother was advised of her options regarding filing unruly juvenile charges.  A short time later all of the parties had calmed down and advised they would not argue any more. All units returned to patrol.

Well-being Check

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a well being check.  The caller advised that they heard someone screaming and a baby crying.  They were concerned that someone was injured.
Upon arrival, Officer met with both subjects who were calm at this time and no one was screaming or crying.  Subject explained that a juvenile had been hungry and crying and subject had been yelling at her mother who was on the phone.  Officer spoke with mother who confirmed this and stated she was enroute home, but that everything was okay.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Domestic Dispute

On the listed date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location on the report of subject being intoxicated and arguing with everyone. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller who advised that subject was very drunk and caller wanted to leave, but subject took the key and threw it.  Caller also advised that subject was yelling at her sons about making messes and not cleaning them up.  Officers then spoke with a witness to the incident who denied things getting physical during the incident and advised that subject just needs to go to sleep. Officers then stood by while sons gathered stuff to go stay at their grandmothers residence. Once  assistance was no longer needed, Officers returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who advised Officer he was lighting off fireworks. Subject was advised he could not light them inside the Village.  Subject advised he would stop. Officer then returned to patrol.

Animal Complaint - Other

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that there was a feral cat in his flower bed that appeared to be sick. Officer located the cat and observed that it appeared overheated and lethargic. Officer put the cat into a shaded location as well as supplied the cat with water. The cat appeared to respond positively to the water. Caller advised he would check on the cat and make sure it had shade and water. Officer then returned to patrol.  A short time later, Officer checked on the cat and observed that it was much more responsive than earlier. Caller thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The caller, advised he was upset that a semi had parked on his freshly graveled roadway.  Officer made contact with semi driver, via public service, who apologized and advised he would have the semi moved soon. Officer then returned to patrol.

Failure to Pay

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a drive-off. Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant who stated that someone in a blue Honda sedan drove up to pump number three, pumped $10.00 worth of gasoline and then left without paying. Upon checking the security camera at the gas station, Officer did not see the vehicle or any vehicle use that pump during the time frame provided on the receipt. Employee stated that she would go back over the camera footage with another employee, tomorrow, in an effort to identify the vehicle.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who wished to remain anonymous. Caller stated that a young male, approximately 8 years old, was taking toys from toddlers and upsetting other families in the area. Caller stated that the juvenile went to a nearby camper.  Officer then made contact with a female and her son.  Officer advised them of the complaint.  Son stated that he did not believe he was being rude when playing, but would be more conscious of his actions. After determining everything checked okay, Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an intoxicated male arguing with employees. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that the male subject had left after a brief verbal argument.  Caller refused to give Officer any information on the male due to male being a regular customer.  Officer advised caller to call if the male returned and caused any issues. Caller thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unconscious male. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that subject was in the listed location and appeared to be going unconscious. Officer then made contact with subject inside the residence who appeared extremely disoriented and confused. Medic arrived on scene and assisted subject into the medic and transported to subject to hospital. Officer then returned to patrol.  See case for further.
