25-Jan-22	12:00:00 AM	Dead on Arrival	Converse Ave.	Officers were dispatched on a report of an unconscious male who was possibly deceased. Upon arrival, officers found a 65 year old male deceased. The Union County Coroner was notified and the investigation is ongoing.

The caller advised a four door silver Toyota  had been driving around his residence and stopped in the alley behind him. Officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.
24-Jan-22	12:37:00 PM	Non-Injury Crash	Perry Pike	Officers responded to the intersection of Perry Pike and Madison Way for a non-injury crash. A dump truck turned onto Perry Pike from Madison Way, with the dump-bed still raised, which caught hold of a utility line and ultimately shattered a utility pole. Crews arrived on scene and fixed the down wire and pole. Subsequently, Arlo Perry, 64, of Cardington, was cited for Driving Unsafe Vehicles (337.01A). Once the scene was cleared, officers returned to patrol.
24-Jan-22	11:35:00 AM	Parking Complaint	Jackson St.	Officer responded in reference to a vehicle blocking the roadway. Officer made contact with the owner of the  gray Honda Accord that was parked in a way that was obstructing traffic and advised the vehicle needed moved. The vehicle was moved without incident.

The caller advised a black Cadillac Sedan had been parked in front of the listed location over a week. After further investigation, the vehicle was being serviced through Plain City Service Center and the information was relayed to the caller. He advised the vehicle was ok to be parked there. 21-Jan-22	5:19:00 PM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	US Rt. 42 N	Officers initiated a traffic stop for several traffic violations. After making contact with the occupants, the driver, Dustin Wilkerson, did not have a valid driver's license and also had a warrant out of Champaign County Sheriff's Office. Dustin was placed into custody without incident. K-9 Andor completed an open air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert however, nothing was located during the probable cause search. Ultimately, Dustin was issued citations for the traffic violations and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail on the warrant. The passenger was warned for not wearing a seatbelt.

The caller advised, her vehicle had eggs and ketchup thrown on the rear of the vehicle overnight. Officer looked to see if there were any cameras around but there weren't. Officer let the caller know that a report would be on file.

The caller advised a subject has been making the employees feel uncomfortable and management would like the subject to be Trespassed from the property. The driver did not have a valid driver's license and ultimately was issued a citation for the violations. Once a valid driver arrived on scene, the officer returned to patrol. Officers approached and spoke with the male subject, Jack DeMatteis, 25, of Plain City and subsequently he was cited for Open Container and Disorderly Conduct. The subject was released to a family member.

The complainants advised they received a fraud alert from their bank, where a large amount of money was deposited into the account from an unknown source. 20-Jan-22	4:57:00 PM	Drug Paraphernalia	West Main St.	Officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the vehicle driver, Bryan Taylor, who had active warrants and a suspended driver's license. Bryan was then placed into custody without incident. A probable cause search was conducted by narcotic detection trained K-9 Andor, who gave a positive alert to the front driver side door. Ultimately, Bryan was citated for Drug Abuse Instruments (M2), No Valid OL, and license forfeiture suspension and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
20-Jan-22	3:58:00 PM	Traffic Stop	US Rt. 42 N	Officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, who had a suspended license. The driver was  issued a traffic citation for FRA Suspension and No Valid OL.  The driver was given a courtesy ride to his residence and the vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.

Upon clearing it from the roadway, a folder and paperwork were found containing personal information. Officer was able to make contact with the individual and return the items.

It was also learned, Katelyn was driving on a suspended license. Ultimately, Katelyn Moody was arrested on the warrant. A probable cause search was conducted and a crack pipe and numerous prescription medications were located. Subsequently, she was issued a citation for No Valid OL, Noncompliance suspension, and given a summons for Drug paraphernalia.

The caller advised she believed she witnessed an unknown male take her daughter and grandmother. After speaking with to both parties, it was decided the father would keep the children over night. They were encouraged to contact the police department for a civil standby, if needed.
14-Jan-22	1:18:00 AM	Drunk Driver	West Main St.	Officers responded in reference to a possible fight. Upon arrival, there was a truck parked in the alley attempting to back up. Officers made contact with the driver and learned he had been engaged in a physical dispute with several employees. The employees declined to press charges. Subsequently, the driver Joseph Peterman, was placed into custody for OVI and was issued a citation for OVI and Disorderly Conduct.	The Grainery

Officers and Medic 261 arrived on scene and assessed the situation. Ultimately, Medic 261 transported the subject to Dublin Methodist Hospital.
15-Jan-22	3:40:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 S	Officers responded to assist the Madison County Sheriff's Office in reference to an unauthorized use of a vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Madison County received a tip, showing the vehicle in a different part of Madison County. The caller stated she was intoxicated walking near East First Ave, and needed a ride, the disconnected the call. Officer checked the area, but didn't find anyone. A short time later the caller was located at a residence on North Ave. The caller agreed to stay at the residence for the rest of the evening. Officer warned the caller for Disorderly Conduct.
