Officer was met on station by complainant, who advised that she received a credit card via US Mail.   After speaking with the bank, complainant learned that she was possibly the victim of a Pandemic Unemployment Fraud scam.  Prior to arriving at the Police Department, complainant had already contacted the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and Unemploymentohio.gov to file a claim regarding the fraudulent unemployment. Complainant requested a Police Report to document the incident.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a complaint of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the reporting party, who advised Officer the incident occurred in the City of Delaware. Officer advised Delaware City Police Department of the incident. DPD advised that they would have an investigator call the reporting party in the morning.

The caller advised he witnessed a maintenance worker in camo clothing smoking drugs in a shed behind the listed location. Suspect admitted to smoking marijuana in a glass bowl. Suspect handed Officer the glass bowl, along with a small glass container of marijuana. Suspect was given a warning and advised to use better judgment. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a maroon Buick near South Jefferson Ave. The registration returned to a suspended driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Tyler Feucht, and the front seat passenger.  It was later found Tyler had a suspended driver's license. Tyler was later issued a traffic citation for No Valid OL and Non Compliance Suspension. Tyler also had an active warrant out of the Ohio State Highway Patrol/Franklin County for Failure to Appear on a traffic offense. Tyler was placed into custody and transported to Costco, where OSP Trooper took custody.  Passenger stayed on scene and waited for a valid driver to pick her and the vehicle up. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and confirmed their speed with Officer's moving radar at 38 MPH in a posted 25 MPH zone.  Juvenile driver was cited for speed, no driver's license, noncompliance suspension and juvenile traffic offense. Mother of juvenile advised they would return to the listed location later that night to retrieve the vehicle.

Officers responded to the intersection of Plain City-Georgesville Road and Converse Huff Road for a suspicious person.  Officers made contact with Orlando Garnes, who had an active warrant for his arrest out of Madison County Sheriff's Office for Failure To Appear.  Officers contacted Marressa Crane, who was advised to retrieve Orlando's personal property. It was learned Marressa had an active warrant out of Madison County Sheriff Office for Failure To Appear. Orlando and Marressa were transported to Tri-County Regional Jail. Officers then returned to patrol.

Officer received a suspicious call at the police department.  Fearing that subject could be in danger, Officers went to subject's last listed address to make sure subject was okay. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident, who stated that the subject was with her new boyfriend at another location.  Officers contacted the subject via public service, who stated that she was safe, but had consumed a lot of whiskey. Officers forwarded the information to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, who advised that they would send a Deputy to that address to check the subject's welfare. Once Officers were no longer needed, Officers returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location regarding a suspicious person.  Officer made contact with subject, who advised he walked in the business to keep warm for a few minutes. Officer advised subject the business was closing soon and that the employee could not close with him inside the business. Subject declined a ride and advised he would walk home. Subject then left on foot. Officer stayed at the gas station until the employee locked up. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer received an anonymous call regarding a suspicious person at the listed location. Officers made contact with suspect who stated that his truck broke down at Marathon in town and walked over the listed location waiting for a ride home. While suspect was speaking to Officer, suspect admitted to having marijuana in his front right shirt pocket. Suspect voluntarily handed over the marijuana and it was seized. Suspect was advised that no charges would be filed against him. Suspect remained at the listed location waiting on his ride.  Officer returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint

Officer noticed a small hatchback in front of the listed location parked partially on the roadway.  It was obvious that the car was parked this way due to the snow in front of the building.  Officer tried to make contact with the registered owner, but nobody answered the door.  Before leaving, a neighbor advised that they would try to contact vehicle owner to have him move it.  Officer returned a few minutes later and the vehicle had been moved.

Officer responded to the listed location on a non-breather.  Female subject asked that Officers take all of the paraphernalia and remaining drugs out of the apartment.  Officer seized all of it as evidence.  The medics transported both subjects to the hospital.  Charges pending prosecutor review and Grand Jury.

SR 161 E

Officer was advised of a silver Honda that was stuck in the ditch on SR 161.  Upon arrival, Officer found the vehicle about 1/4 mile west of Warner Road.  The driver of the vehicle advised that she already had AAA enroute to pull her out.  Due to the very poor road conditions and the high volume of traffic on the road at that time, Officer remained on scene for her safety.  Officer also advised MCSO, who advised they would be enroute.  Once the traffic flow eased, Officer placed flares on the road near her vehicle to draw extra attention and then returned to patrol.

Officers were requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to check the area near US 42 for a suspicious person. Dispatch advised the description of a male and advised he was last seen walking on US 42 near the listed location. Officer confirmed with dispatch the male had the same description as a subject Officer dealt with earlier in Officer's shift.  Officers patrolled the area and were unable to locate the subject. Officers then returned to patrol.
