1/28/2020 10:35 PM Unruly East First Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile. Complainant stated that she had been in a verbal dispute with her son.  Complainant stated that after the dispute her son left the residence without her permission. While checking the area, complainant called dispatch and stated that her son had returned to the residence. Officer then made contact with son inside the residence. Son stated that he was just upset with his mom and wanted to get away from her to calm down. Officer advised son that he could not leave the residence without his mother's permission. Son apologized and agreed to remain home for the remainder of the night. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/28/2020 6:02 PM Parking Complaint South Chillicothe St. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer observed a 2004 Ford Explorer parked on the alley next to the residence. Officer met with driver and advised him of the complaint.  Driver advised they were just unloading materials and were getting ready to move the vehicle.  Officer then went and met with the caller. Officer advised the caller that the vehicle has been moved and informed caller that they have the right to block the alley for a short time while unloading the vehicle. Caller advised he understood he was just afraid someone was going to drive through his yard to get around the vehicle. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/28/2020 11:50 AM Miscellaneous - Unclassified Friend St. On this date and time, Officer received a call from complainant who advised that his ex-girlfriend dropped their son off at his house today and came into the house without his permission. Complainant said that he has a no-contact order preventing him from having contact with her. Complainant said he is concerned that he is going to be seen as violating that order if she's at his house. Complainant said he prefers that she not walk their son to the door to avoid any potential conflicts.  Officer called ex-girlfriend and advised her of this request. She advised she understood and would try to avoid it. She also advised that complainant lives in Marysville. Officer called complainant and told him to contact his local police department if he had further issues involving his property or any unwanted phone calls.  Plain City Police Department Approved

1/27/2020 10:58 PM Marijuana West Main St. On the stated date and time, Officer observed a blue Hyundai Elantra imitating white light to the rear.  Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle in front of the listed location. 1/27/2020 8:00 PM Unruly East Main St. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to an unruly juvenile complaint. The caller advised dispatch that her daughter left the residence without permission and she doesn't know where she went. Officers responded to the area of the residence and attempted to locate the juvenile. Officers were later notified that mother had located the daughter. Officers then responded to the residence and met with both parties.  Officers learned that the daughter was upset that her mom took her phone away so she went for a walk. Officers advised daughter the importance of listening to her mother and following the house rules. Daughter advised she understood and would listen. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officers then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/27/2020 6:10 PM Miscellaneous - Unclassified Maple St. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible vandalism to a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised his 2005 Mitsubishi had a shattered driver side window, that was still in place due to lamination. Caller advised the vehicle was parked on the south side of the location since 0630 hours this morning. Caller stated he did not observe any other damage to his vehicle and did not believe someone did this on purpose. Caller requested a report for insurance purposes. US Post Office Pending

1/21/2020 11:15 AM Threatened Suicide Friend St. On this date and time, Officer was notified of a student in the Jonathan Alder School District who had made threats to harm himself. It wasn't clear which school the child was at because the information was coming from a third party.  Upon identifying the child's name, Officer unsuccessfully attempted contact at his residence.  After further investigation, the child and school location was identified.  This information was relayed to the Madison County Sheriff's Office and they responded to the school. The child's grandmother went to the school to pick him up and then they came to the police department. The child advised he hadn't made any threats to harm himself and he did not have any thoughts of harming himself. The child did not show any signs of distress, depression or having thoughts of self harm. The child seemed happy and grandmother confirmed that there hadn't been any recent issues other than that of a typical, normal teenager. Officer advised grandmother to keep a close watch over child and to seek medical attention if anything changed. Officer told them that Officer would make a referral due to the nature of the threats. After concluding everything to be fine, they departed the police department. Plain City Police Department Approved
1/21/2020 2:08 PM Telecom Harassment East First Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer spoke with complainant, via public service who stated that she and her husband were officially divorced on 01/15/2020. Ex-husband has been sending her text messages about her new boyfriend and also took photos of the new boyfriend's vehicle while it was parked at her residence. Caller requested that Officer make contact with ex-husband and advised him to stop.  1537 Hours-Officer made contact with ex-husband, via public service, and advised him of the complaint.  Ex-husband wanted information on the new boyfriend because he wanted to make sure that his son (whom they have in common) was safe. Officer advised him that he needed to leave caller alone, unless it was concerning their child. Ex-husband was advised of the possible consequences if his actions continued and he advised that he understood. Caller was made aware that Officer spoke with ex-husband and to contact the police department if she has any issues.   Approved
1/21/2020 7:53 PM Civil Dispute/Standby Washington Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a possible domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with caller who stated that she had agreed to leave the residence earlier in the day after she had an argument with subject.  Caller stated that she had returned to get several blankets and a pillow. Officer then stood by with subject while caller removed the property from the residence. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
1/21/2020 8:08 PM Threatened Suicide South Jefferson Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer received a call from off-duty Officer who advised that subject was at McDonald's due to Officers receiving a previous call about subject threatening to harm himself.  Upon Officer's arrival at McDonald's, Officers made contact with subject who was happy and did not appear to be in distress. Subject also denied wanting to harm himself. Officer made contact with subject's mother and advised her of the incident.  Mother refused to allow subject to come home and hung up.  Officer called mother back to see if it was okay if subject went home with his grandfather. She again told Officer that she didn't care and hung up.  Contact was made with grandfather who stated that he would pick subject up.  Officer stood by on scene, with subject, until grandfather arrived.  Mother was advised that subject would be going to grandfather's residence for the night.  Due to mother's attitude towards her son in this matter, a copy of this report will be forwarded to the MCDOJFS and Madison County Juvenile Court. 1/21/2020 2:05 AM Assist Other Agency Mckitrick Rd On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location at the request of the Union County Sheriff's Office, in reference to an alarm drop. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
1/23/2020 8:45 PM Parking Complaint South Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer spoke with complainant in reference to a parking complaint. Complainant advised Officer construction vehicles are blocking the No Name Alley just south of his residence. Complainant advised a white van towing a red enclosed utility trailer were blocking the alley. Complainant advised when the Alley is blocked people drive through his yard. Officer advised complainant the Police Department would keep an eye out for any parking violations in the area. Complainant was advised to contact the Police Department when/if he observed anyone blocking the alley.   Approved
1/23/2020 1:35 PM Miscellaneous - Unclassified Friend St. On this date and time, Officer spoke to complainant via public service. Complainant advised that money was being taken out of her checking account electronically by Time Warner/Spectrum, but she doesn't have an account with them. Complainant has attempted to resolve this with Time Warner/Spectrum, but they refuse to discuss the matter with complainant due to her name not being on the account even though it is her checking account being used to pay the bill. Officer explained to complainant a courtesy report would be completed for her, but due to complainant living outside of the jurisdiction Officer could not initiate a criminal case investigation into the matter. 1/23/2020 3:03 PM Lost Property/Not Stolen South Jefferson Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the reporting party who advised Officer she had checked out at the Dollar General around 1400 hours and forgot her wallet. Complainant advised she came back in and asked the employees if they located it to which they advised they had not.  A short time later complainant advised Officer she received a phone call that a good samaritan had dropped the wallet off at her residence. 1/23/2020 6:28 PM Driving Complaint West Main St. On the stated date and time, Dispatch advised an anonymous caller observed a gray Toyota Sedan driving at inconsistent speeds on 161 just west of the Village limits.  Officer observed the vehicle on West Main St near South Jefferson Ave. Officer observed the vehicle take a right hand turn (southbound) onto South Jefferson Ave using the straight lane rather than the designated right hand turn lane. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver.  Officer advised driver the reason she was stopped and the complaints against her. Officer did not detect any signs of impairment when speaking with driver.  Driver advised Officer she was tired so she was going to McDonalds to get refreshments. After deeming everything fine, driver was given a verbal warning for the moving violation. Officer  then returned to patrol.   Approved
1/23/2020 7:08 PM Well-being Check Friend St. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the Police Department in reference to a well-being check. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the reporting party who advised Officer he had not seen or heard from his girlfriend in three days. Reporting party advised he was concerned about subject's well-being.  Officer was able to make contact with subject via public service. Subject advised Officer that everything was fine and that she had recently broken up with reporting party and did not wish to speak with him. Officer contacted caller back and advised him subject was fine and that she did not want to speak with him at this time. Plain City Police Department Approved
1/24/2020 8:20 AM Bad Checks South Jefferson Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a bad check complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the owner of the business, who stated that on November 8, 2019, he performed a service on a vehicle for subject. Business owner stated that he attempted to contact subject via public service and was unsuccessful. Business owner then attempted to serve subject with a bad check letter via certified mail on January 3, 2020 and still has not heard back from subject in reference to paying the owed amount. Officer made contact with subject via public service who stated that he would be in this afternoon to make the proper arrangements with business owner to pay the owed amount from the bad check. Subject was made aware that if he did not make the proper arrangements with business owner to pay the amount due from the bad check, then he could be charged criminally for passing a bad check. 1/24/2020 7:18 PM Other Dispute West Bigelow Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer was met at the Police Department by complainant who wanted to report a dispute that occurred at the listed location prior to her coming to the Police Department. Complainant advised Officer she and a subject got into a verbal argument about errors he was making at work.  Complainant advised Officer that subject got in her face and was being extremely disrespectful. Complainant advised Officer another employee then grabbed her and removed her from the kitchen. Complainant advised Officer that she believed employee removed her from the kitchen to avoid any further confrontation. Officer later met with employee and subject and discussed the incident.  Both parties confirmed what complainant advised Officer. Officer advised subject of the possible consequences for arguing in a public place. After deeming everything okay, Officer returned to patrol. Lee's Sports & Spirits Approved

1/25/2020 10:59 AM Theft - Misdemeanor Country Place Ln. On the listed date and time, Officer spoke with caller, by public service, in reference to theft of cash from his vehicle. Caller advised that sometime Wednesday he believes an unknown person entered his 2014 Honda Odyssey and took eighty dollars in cash from his center console. Caller advised that he had traveled from Columbus to his mother's residence. Caller advised he was in his mother's house for a few minutes and left his vehicle running in front of the house. Caller advised he can't guarantee that the money was taken then. Caller further advised that his vehicle is always garaged when he is home so he knows it did not happen at his residence. Caller advised he only wants an information report and does not want Officer speaking with his mother.  Caller requested extra patrol near his mother's house during the overnight hours.   Approved
1/25/2020 5:35 PM Traffic Stop US Rt. 42 N  On the stated date and time, Officer conducted a routine registration check on a tan Mercury Seda traveling southbound on US 42 N near North Chillicothe St. The registration returned expired as of 10/25/2018. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Cajun Thomas-Miskel. After further investigation, it was found that Cajun had 12 active suspensions on his license. It was also found the vehicle registration returned to a different vehicle. Cajun advised me he was aware the registration belonged to a different vehicle and advised he was just using it to move the vehicle to a different location. Cajun was later issued a traffic citation for Identification Number/Registration Belonging To Another Motor Vehicle, No Valid OL, FRA Suspension, and BMV 12 Point Suspension. Cajun was given a verbal warning for No Front Plate. Cajun was then transported to Marathon.  Cajun's vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.  See Media/Impound files for further.   Pending
1/25/2020 8:10 PM Fire Support Country View Ln. On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a non-breather. Upon arrival with Medic personnel, Officer observed an elderly female lying on her back, on the living room floor.  Medic personnel started performing CPR. Medic then transported subject to Hospital. Officers stayed on scene and spoke with the reporting parties.  After answering a few questions for the reporting parties, Officer returned to patrol.   Pending
1/26/2020 6:30 PM Drug Paraphernalia Friend St. On the stated date and time, Officer was met on station by complainant and his son.  Complainant advised he located marijuana paraphernalia in his son dresser drawer. Complainant requested Officer take the paraphernalia and speak to son about the incident. Officer then spoke to son and explained the seriousness of the matter.
