On the stated date and time, Officer responded to Pastime Park in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that he was involved in a verbal dispute with his wife at the listed location. Caller stated his wife left the residence with a juvenile.  Juvenile's grandmother wanted the juvenile to return to the residence.  Upon checking the area, Officer located both parties walking on South Chillicothe Street. Officer transported both the juvenile and caller's wife back to the listed location. Juvenile was given a verbal warning for curfew.  Caller and caller's wife agreed to remain calm for the remainder of the night.  Both parties thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Dispatch advised they received a call from the landline at the listed location, and the line was static. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the homeowner who advised everything was okay.  Caller advised he doesn't have a landline, and this is an ongoing issue with the phone company. After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suicide threat. Dispatch advised subject was making comments on Facebook.  Upon arrival, Officers observed the front door to be partially open. After not getting an answer at the door, Officers entered the house but did not locate subject. Officers left the residence and located subject on West Avenue near South Chillicothe Street. After speaking with subject, subject agreed to be transported to hospital voluntarily. Officer then returned to patrol.  A CIT was completed.

West Main St.

On the stated date and time, Officer was met on station by the owner of the listed location.  Owner stated someone put up several Black Lives Matter signs on his building, and he removed them. As he was removing them, a small car pulled up, and a younger black female began yelling at him. Owner advised Officer he is fearful the female is going to harm his property in retaliation.  On 8-8-2020 at around 1200 hours, Officer made contact with suspect.  Suspect admitted to speaking with owner but stated she did not curse or threaten owner.  Suspect stated she would not retaliate or harm owner's businesses.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a harassment complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with both complainants who advised subject had been texting and harassing female complainant.  Complainant's requested Officer make contact with subject and tell him to leave them alone.  A short time later, Officers made contact with subject's mother and advised her of the incident.  Subject's mother advised Officer that she would tell subject to cease contact with complainant.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that he had an issue with his phone and that there was no emergency. After determining everything checked okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Assault - Misdemeanor

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an intoxicated female. The caller stated that Lindsay Chamblin was intoxicated, kicking his front door and refusing to leave. Upon arrival, Officer observed several subjects arguing in the front lawn of the listed location.  Victim stated that Lindsay struck him twice to the left side of his face. Officer observed redness and swelling on victim's left eye. Several parties witnessed the incident occur. Upon further investigation, Lindsay was placed into custody for Assault and Aggravated Trespass. Officer transported Lindsay to Tri-County Regional Jail and released her into their custody without issue.  Due to Lindsay’s daughter being with Lindsay at the time of the incident, a copy of this report was forwarded to the Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services. Refer to case for further.

Non-Injury Crash

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of West Avenue and South Chillicothe Street in reference to a non-injury crash.  Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the listed parties. After speaking with both parties it was learned that Joseph Dubosh stopped at the stop sign on West Avenue at South Chillicothe Street.  While attempting to turn northbound (left) onto South Chillicothe Street his vehicle struck the passenger side of subject's Honda Accord.  Joseph was issued a citation for Failure to Yield from a Stop Sign.

Non-Injury Crash

South Jefferson Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to South Jefferson Ave near West Main St in reference to a non-injury accident. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with driver of blue Honda and Leroy Cook, driver of silver Honda. It was later determined that subject in his Blue Honda SUV was in the right hand turn lane when Leroy attempted to make a lane change and accidentally struck the blue Honda SUV.  This caused minor damage to both vehicles. Leroy was later issued a citation for Unsafe Lane Change.

On the stated date and time, while on a follow-up at the listed location, victim advised Officer that subject had sent text messages to victim, victim's wife, and another witness.  Victim requested Officer make contact with subject and advise subject not to contact them.  A short time later Officer made contact with subject and his live-in girlfriend, at their residence.  Officer advised both parties to cease contact with the victim and the other parties involved or they could be criminally charged.  Subject and girlfriend advised that they understood.

Traffic Stop

On the stated date and time, Officer observed a black Acura coupe did not have a visible registration. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Nikolas Seman. Nikolas advised Officer he recently purchased the vehicle, however, he could not provide Officer with any proper documentation confirming the purchase and he advised he did not have a registration for the vehicle. Officer later made contact with the legal owner of the vehicle who advised that he had recently sold the vehicle to Nikolas however they had not yet legally signed the title over. Nikolas was later issued a traffic citation for Failure To Display. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound lot.

On the listed date and time, Officer was contacted via phone by Principal at Jonathan Alder Jr. High School who advised that he had received notice from Gaggle (an internet monitoring service) that a user had downloaded pornography using a Google account affiliated with the school district.   Complainant advised that he had already spoken to suspect and suspect's mother about the incident and advised suspect of the possible consequences if suspect posted pornography again.  The complainant also advised that he would refer the matter to MCDOJFS.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a possible behavioral health situation. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant who indicated that, prior to Officer's arrival, there were people in his house that to his knowledge just recently left.  Complainant stated that they weren’t bad people and since they were no longer there, complainant did not need any further assistance from Officer.  Once Officer checked that everything was okay, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, I was requested by UCSO Dep. Salyers to respond to the listed location in reference to a K9 assist. Upon arrival Dep. Salyers advised me the vehicle occupant, Richenda Newland, was already in custody for a warrant. Dep. Salyers requested K9 Andor complete an open air sniff on a bronze Kia Sedan bearing (OH.Reg.HWT2615). Andor completed an open-air narcotics sniff of the vehicle and gave alert to the front driver door. During a probable cause search of the vehicle raw marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia were located. I then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible fraud attempt. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant, who indicated to that her ex daughter-in-law made a GoFundMe account in an attempt to raise money for her grandaughter's funeral.  Complainant further stated that she had already paid all of her granddaughter's funeral expenses. Officer advised complainant that she should report the scam to the GoFundMe website corporate office in an effort to stop the scam.  After assistance was no longer needed, OfficerI then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer observed a white Dodge Dakota parked in front of the listed location. The vehicle had a flat front left tire and no one was around it. Officer went to the residence of vehicle owner and made contact with one of vehicle owner's roommates.  Officer advised them that vehicle owner needs to get the vehicle moved or the tire fixed as soon as possible.  Roommate advised she would let vehicle owner know. Officer checked and found the vehicle was no longer on the roadway at 1800 hours.

Complainant had called in earlier advising there were several people that were breaking into his home which was inaccurate (see OIR:20-0865 for further). Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant who advised there were three people in his residence. Officer checked his residence before arriving at the listed location. Due to complainant's altered mental state, medics were contacted. Complainant refused medical treatment. Complaint was then transported to a friend's house where he was released to their custody. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a dog bite. Dispatch advised victim was riding his bike on Lafayette- Plain City Road near Converse-Huff Road when a yellow Lab bit him on the leg. Victim was treated by Medic, who advised him that he needed several stitches. Once the Madison County Dog Warden arrived on scene, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with, employee who advised she observed a black Chevrolet Silverado drive around the outside of the fence, and the vehicle occupant appeared to be taking pictures of patrons within the facility. Employee was unable to provide any other vehicle identifiers. Officer advised employee, PCPD would keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer met with complainant and his wife at the listed location.  They advised that they observed several vehicles parked in the gravel near the primitive camping area.  The individuals that parked there stared at his campsite and he believed them to be associated with his old friend that he had a recent falling out with and believes that his old friend wants to fight him.  Officer advised complainant that it was a public park and people are permitted to be there during operating hours.  However, if someone comes to their campsite (or any other place inside the park) and causes and issue with him, he needed to contact the police department immediately.  Complainant was also advised to avoid confrontation and not take matters into his own hands.  Complainant and his wife thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

On the sated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a noise complaint. The anonymous caller advised they could hear an excessively loud TV being watched/listened to coming from the rear of the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer did not hear any excessive noise.  Officer then made contact with the homeowner and advised him of the complaint. Homeowner advised there was no excessive noise and walked Officer around his residence. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant who advised her neighbor's dog got out of the yard and came onto her property earlier in the day which frightened her and her son. Officer then made contact with canine owner.  Canine owner advised Officer he would make sure his dog stayed on a leash and apologized. Canine owner was warned for Animals Running at Large. Officer then returned to patrol.

The caller advised a group of children were climbing her fence and when asked to stop one of them started cursing at her. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the group of kids in a No Name Alley near the listed location. Officer spoke to the kids and advised them to watch their language and to make sure to stay off of other people’s property unless they have permission. Officer then spoke with the subjects who were watching kids and advised them of the incident.  Male subject later went over and apologized to complainant about the incident.  Officers then returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

On the stated date and time, conducted a routine registration check on a grey Honda sedan.  The registration returned to a non-valid driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Nelvin Martinez, and his passengers.  It was later found that Nelvin didn’t have a valid license and he had an active warrant out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for Failure To Comply with sentencing disposition. Nelvin was later transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail and booked in on his warrant. Nelvin was also issued a traffic citation for No Valid OL and Non-Compilance Suspension. Officer stood by with the other occupants until they and the vehicle were picked up by a valid driver.
