The female advised she was looking for her cell phone. Upon arrival, the officer was unable to locate anyone matching the description given.  
27-Aug-21 5:18:00 PM Breaking and Entering North Chillicothe St. Officers responded to a possible breaking and entering. The property owner said the door had been shut, but it was now open and that the property was possibly rummaged through.  He advised the property was vacant and did not want to pursue any investigation, but requested to be placed on the housewatch list.  
27-Aug-21 1:32:00 PM Suspicious Person South Jefferson Ave. Officers assisted a subject who was possibly suffering a mental health crisis and who was possibly homeless. Dollar General Store
27-Aug-21 12:44:00 PM Well-being Check Fairfield Dr. Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a well-being check. Officer assisted the Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services.  
27-Aug-21 12:10:00 PM Behavioral Health West Main St. Officer was dispatched to a mental health crisis. An elderly male had driven his lawn tractor to the business and seemed confused. His caretaker was contacted and was told that the lawn tractor could not be driven on the roadway.  The caretaker picked the subject up a short time later. Richwood Bank
28-Aug-21 11:59:00 PM Loud Noise/Disturbance North Ave. Officers responded to a noise complaint and found the music to be too loud.  Subject was warned and he turned the music down.  
28-Aug-21 7:52:00 PM Assist Other Agency US Rt. 42 S Officers were advised by a passerby of a possible domestic dispute in a vehicle on US Route 42.  Officers located the vehicle north of SR 736 and stood-by with the subjects in the vehicle until deputies from the Union County Sheriff's Office arrived.  
28-Aug-21 2:16:00 PM Vehicle Lockout West Second Ave. Officers assisted a subject who had locked her keys in the vehicle with a young child inside.  The officers were unable to unlock the vehicle using typical tools and ultimately broke a window to gain access due to the heat and the child being inside.  The child was found to be fine and was cleared by medics. 25-Aug-21 9:06:00 AM Assist Other Agency SR 736 Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to assist their deputies with traffic control near 8476 SR736 for a traffic crash.  
25-Aug-21 1:04:00 AM Telecom Harassment South Chillicothe St. Officers responded on a telecommunication harassment complaint. Victim did not wish to pursue criminal charges, but wanted no further contact from the caller.  Officers are working to warn the suspect of the possibility of criminal charges if it continues.  
25-Aug-21 12:40:00 AM 911 Follow-up South Chillicothe St. Officer responded on a 911 Follow-up.  After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.  
26-Aug-21 11:58:00 PM Prowler Anderson Ave. Officers responded to a possible prowler complaint, but did not find anyone or any signs of anyone being around the caller's residence.

Officer was dispatched reference a possible theft complaint that was made to the Madison County Jobs and Family Services regarding possible theft from the elderly. The resident and alleged victim advised that no money has been stolen from her and was adamant that the alleged suspect would not steal from her.  
13-Aug-21 6:38:00 PM Parking Complaint West Main St. Officer observed a maroon Chevrolet Silverado parked in front of a painted yellow curb. A few seconds later, the owner moved the truck. The business was advised not to park vehicles in the no parking zone.   
13-Aug-21 6:55:00 PM Well-being Check Fairfield Dr. Officer dispatched on a well being check. Officer spoke to the subject and determined everything was fine.

14-Aug-21 1:48:00 PM Animal Complaint - Other Ratcliff Ln. Officer was dispatched to an animal complaint in which a groundhog was on the front porch and would not leave. The officer located the groundhog on the front porch, but it subsequently took off. It appeared healthy.  
14-Aug-21 1:55:00 AM Loud Noise/Disturbance South Chillicothe St. Officer responded to a possible dispute. The caller stated that a large group of people were arguing in front of the house. Upon approaching the group, I observed what appeared to be a party, but there were no signs of any type of argument. The resident was warned for the noise and he advised there would be no further noise.  
14-Aug-21 12:43:00 AM Loud Noise/Disturbance South Chillicothe St. Officer responded to a noise complaint. Upon arrival, the officer could hear music coming from the garage. The resident was notified and he stated that he would turn the music down for the rest of the night.

16-Aug-21 8:01:00 PM Telecom Harassment North Ave. Officer responded reference a telecommunication harassment complaint. The caller wanted to have no further contact from an estranged family member.  The family member was notified.  
16-Aug-21 9:04:00 PM Criminal Damaging North Ave. Officer responded reference to a criminal damaging complaint in which a battery that was on the front of a trailer had been removed and thrown under the trailer and that approximately two months earlier someone had taken a serrated pocket knife and scratched the side of the trailer.

18-Aug-21 4:41:00 PM Missing Juvenile South Chillicothe St. Officer responded to a possible missing juvenile. Officer discovered that the school bus was running late and that the juvenile had just been dropped off. Plain City Elementary School
18-Aug-21 12:49:00 AM Suspicious Person/Vehicle South Jefferson Ave. Officer observed a black Oldsmobile Bravado parked in the parking lot of the listed location. Officer  observed a subject sleeping in the vehicle. It was discovered that the subject's license was suspended, so he contacted his girlfriend to pick him up.  She arrived and was found to have a suspended license and out of state warrants. Rhonda Russo was cited with driving without a driver's license, ALS suspension and a Failure to Pay Court Fees Suspension and instructed to resolve her out of state warrants.  She called a cab for them and the officer returned to patrol. 18-Aug-21 5:08:00 AM 911 Follow-up West Main St. Officer responded on a 911 Follow-up.  After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.  
18-Aug-21 10:07:00 AM Non-Injury Crash West Main St. Officer was dispatched to a non-injury crash on West Main Street at Friend Street. A 2010 Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended a 2013 Mercedes C30. Norman Troyer (55YOA) was issued a citation for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.  
18-Aug-21 1:17:00 PM Animal Complaint - Other East Main St. Officer was dispatched on a stray dog. The dog was secured in the dog kennel with food and water. and was later picked up by the dog warden.  
18-Aug-21 7:41:00 PM Warrant - Misdemeanor East Main St. Officer observed a green Yamaha R6 traveling eastbound on East Main Street near Church Street without plates/registration affixed to the vehicle and the rider did not have a helmet or protective eyewear. Officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle driver, Michael Duncan (34 YOA). who was arrested on two misdemeanor warrants out of the Columbus and was issued a citation for No Motorcycle Endorsement, FRA Suspension, and Failure to Display.  
18-Aug-21 4:20:00 PM Miscellaneous - Unclassified Village Blvd. Officer met with a subject who wished for a family member's boyfriend to have no further contact with her. The officer relayed the message. Plain City Municipal Building
19-Aug-21 3:04:00 AM Suspicious Circumstances Ratcliff Ln. Officer was on patrol and observed a white 2019 Dodge Ram truck with three doors open parked in the driveway. The owner advised she did not leave any of the vehicle doors open. She looked through the car, which had been rummaged though, but advised nothing was missing.

19-Aug-21 3:26:00 AM Suspicious Circumstances Ratcliff Ln. Officer was on foot patrol in the area of the listed location, searching for vehicles that may have been rummaged though and observed a red 2003 Mini Cooper unlocked with the glove box open. The owner advised the glove box is broken and sometimes falls down and advised he did not believe anyone entered his vehicle.

19-Aug-21 3:39:00 PM Marijuana South Chillicothe St. Officer initiated a traffic stop and found the vehicle driver, Deaundre Butler (24 YOA), to be under a license suspension.  Officer could smell marijuana in the vehicle. Deaundre was later issued a citation for No Valid OL, and FRA Suspension and he was also issued a summons for possession of marijuana.  
19-Aug-21 11:31:00 PM Suspicious Vehicle Harrington Dr. Officer observed the rear hatch of a maroon Honda Pilot open and made contact with the owner who forgot to close the hatch after removing items from the trunk. She said that that nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing.

21-Aug-21 10:18:00 AM Miscellaneous - Unclassified SR 161 E Officers met with a subject regarding the use of property in which some crops were damaged. The property owner explained the situation, which the officer relayed to the complainant.  
21-Aug-21 11:18:00 AM Civil Dispute/Standby Village Blvd. Officer assisted with a child custody exchange which occurred without incident. Plain City Municipal Building
21-Aug-21 1:26:00 PM Animal Complaint - Other South Jefferson Ave. Officer responded for a canine well being check. Officer located a black Doberman inside a blue Kia SUV, which was parked under a shaded area with the windows partially down for air circulation. No signs of distress were observed with the canine. 21-Aug-21 6:43:00 PM Failure to Pay West Main St. Officer was advised of drive-off from a gas station for $39.14. The vehicle was a silver Subaru Forester. Officer is investigating. Mike's Pit Stop
21-Aug-21 8:55:00 PM Juvenile South Chillicothe St. Officer was flagged down by a passerby who advised that two female juveniles were playing very close to the roadway.  Officer cautioned the juveniles about this, especially due to darkness and spoke to their guardian.

21-Aug-21 12:00:00 AM Cocaine/Crack North Chillicothe St. Officer initiated a stop for a red light violation and discovered the driver, David Copley (61 YOA), had a suspended driver's license. Officers detected signs of possible narcotics and after an investigation Copley was arrested and charged with OVI/ALS Suspension and Drug Paraphernalia and his passenger, Wanda Bates (33 YOA), was arrested and charged with Drug Paraphernalia.  
22-Aug-21 12:38:00 AM Open Door Hawthorne Dr. While on routine patrol, officer observed a blue Chrysler Van with the driver side backseat door open. Owner advised nothing was missing and secured the door.  
22-Aug-21 9:16:00 AM Neighbor Dispute West Main St. Officer dispatched on a neighbor dispute regarding a barking dog that was reportedly unleashed. The dog owner was warned to keep the dog leashed and to reasonably control the barking.
