Officer was met at the Police Department by a resident in reference to his dog getting out of his back yard and the neighbor’s dog appeared to pounce at his dog in an aggressive manner. Neither dog appeared to have any injuries and the resident was given a verbal warning for dog at large.

Officer was dispatched to investigate a complaint of juveniles that were being unruly. Officer spoke with the caller who advised that a girl had thrown a rock that hit her child. There was no visible injury. The caller stated the children to have no further contact with her child and to not come onto the property. Officers spoke with children and their parents and advised of the complaint and to have no further contact with the caller's children and to not throw stones.

Officer spoke with the property worker, who advised that the tenant was evicted and took several items. Officer advised that after having gathered information from all parties the issue would need to be handled as a civil proceeding.

While responding, Officer observed a dark colored SUV traveling at a high rate of speed. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the brown Nissan with an Officer as backup. Upon further investigation, Britton Steiginga was placed into custody for OVI, Speeding, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia.
