8/15/2016	11:42 AM	Animal Complaint - Other	West Main St.	Officer met with pet owner in reference to an animal complaint from an incident that had occurred in the prior evening. The caller had advised that she was walking with her family and dogs when a large dog ran from the yard into the alley and attacked one of her dogs. Officer advised the pet owner that she needed to ensure he was secured at all times to avoid another incident such as this one and warned her of the consequences if this were to happen again.

He advised that he has had issues with neighbor kids playing on his front porch. Officer met with the parents and children to advise them of the issue.

8/15/2016	5:20 PM	Domestic Dispute	Madison Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival Officers made contact with both parties who were calm at the time. Both parties agreed to leave each other alone for the night.
8/16/2016	9:45 AM	Recovered/Found Property	South Jefferson Ave.	A wallet was turned over to the police department that had been found on the listed location. Officer made contact with the property owner who later arrived at the police department and retrieved the wallet.

The caller stated that an unknown male subject was in the driveway of the listed location. Upon arrival Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anything out of the ordinary.
8/17/2016	8:11 PM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	West Main St.	While on routine patrol Officer observed Eli M. Dean walking in front of the listed location. Having prior knowledge of an entered warrant out of the Marysville Municipal Court for Assault. Eli M. Dean was placed into custody without incident.	Plain City Florist
8/17/2016	5:55 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	Gay St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a three year old that was locked inside a vehicle that was not running. Upon arrival, Officer observed several family members standing next to a vehicle with a small child inside the vehicle. Officer was able to get the child out of the vehicle by using a lockout kit. Medic 261 checked the child out and determined that he was fine.
8/17/2016	3:04 PM	Non-Injury Hitskip	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a hit-skip accident. Upon arrival, Officer met with the complainant who advised that a Fed-Ex semi clipped his driver's side mirror, causing it to break. Having prior knowledge of an entered warrant for his arrest out of the Marysville Municipal Court for Failure to Appear, Officers initiated contact, placing Austin into custody for two counts of Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments. The caller stated that an unknown vehicle had followed her from her place of employment in Columbus. Upon arrival observed a white Kia Soul following behind the callers vehicle. Officer then initiated a traffic stop with that vehicle. Upon further investigation Briana Snowden was placed into custody for OVI, Following too Closely, two counts of Drug Paraphernalia, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Upon arrival, Officer met with the resident who was working on his vehicle when the block broke causing the car to fall on him. He said the neighbor came out and helped him and did not need any medical assistance.
8/19/2016	1:02 AM	911 Follow-up	North Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Upon call back, the caller advised she accidently dial 911. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller. While speaking with the caller, she complained of chest pains and requested a Medic to check on her. Medic 261 arrived on scene shortly and transported her to the hospital.

8/19/2016	7:50 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	East Bigelow Ave.	While at the police department, Officer received a phone call advising that her mother resides at the listed location and a subject came to the residence and advised that he worked for the Village of Plain City. It was confirmed that it was an employee with the Village. He was visiting houses in the Village, which were built between certain years, for water testing purposes.

8/20/2016	2:55 AM	Suspicious Person	Willow Creek Dr.	Officers were dispatched to the listed area in reference to three suspicious males. Upon arrival Officer located the three males. They advised they were walking home and were not looking into cars. All three were men had been drinking and apologized for being loud. They were given a warning and advised of the possible consequences.

Upon arrival Officer made contact with the female, who appeared very confused and disoriented. 8/21/2016	6:04 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	Murlay Dr.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to questions over custody. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller. Officer then contacted Madison County Job and Family Services, along with the Madison County Prosecutor. After speaking with all parties, it was agreed the child could stay at the listed location. The caller was also advised on how to obtain emergency custody.
8/21/2016	5:00 AM	Suspicious Circumstances	Willowbend Cir.	Officer was on patrol and observed a grey Ford Focus in the driveway with its parking lights on. Upon checking the vehicle Officer found it to be secure and no one around. Officer attempted contact with the residents without success.
8/21/2016	4:52 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	Fairfield Dr.	Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a loose canine. Upon arrival Officer located the owner, who advised one of his neighbor’s children accidently let the dog off of his leash. Officer located the canine and was able to get it back inside of the listed location. The pet owner was advised of the possible consequences if this were to happen again.

Upon arrival Officers made contact with the male whose vehicle was stolen last night and he believed that it was in the area. Officer was dispatched to listed location to assist the Union County Sheriff's Office search for a suspect out of the theft of a quad runner in the area. Upon arrival with back up, Deputy had already apprehended the suspect. When assistance was no longer needed, Officers left the area.

8/12/2016	11:07 PM	Drunk Driver	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was traveling northbound on listed avenue and observed a white Acura traveling southbound. The vehicle had its bright lights on and remained on. The vehicle slowed down, drove to the right side of the roadway and over the white fog line. Officer initiated a traffic stop and after further investigation, Heather Deeter was placed under arrest for OVI and issued a citation for OVI, Marked Lanes and Duty to Dim.

The caller advised two skinny males wearing jeans were walking up and down the street and appeared to be looking into cars. Upon arrival Officer searched the area but was unable to locate anyone matching that description.
8/13/2016	10:39 AM	911 Follow-up	Converse Dr.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow up. Dispatch advised that they were not able to call the phone back. Upon arrival Officer met with the listed parties who had called 911 from a deactivated cell phone, not realizing that the call would work. Officer advised the importance of calling 911 only in emergencies.

He advised that he has received several calls from someone claiming to represent the IRS saying that he owed back taxes. He advised that he knew that it was scam but wanted the Police Department to be aware.
8/13/2016	1:47 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller who stated that the female suspect had taken the apartment complex's mower without his permission. Officer later located the female using the mower at a local Church. She stated that she believed she had permission to use the mower to mow the Church's grass. She stated that the previous night someone rang her door bell but she did not answer. She stated that the next morning there was a small pool of gas by her Ford truck and the tank was empty.

8/14/2016	1:57 AM	Traffic Stop	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a red Ford Taurus, northbound on listed location. Officer learned that the registered owner was under suspension and initiated a traffic stop. Shane Tackett was issued a citation for License Forfeiture Suspension.
8/14/2016	9:15 AM	Assist Other Agency	Unionville Rd.	Officers responded to the listed location at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival Officers assisted Deputy in searching the residence. It was determined that the male subject had left the area prior to Officers arrival.
8/14/2016	6:36 PM	Storm Damage	North Chillicothe St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a low hanging wire. Upon arrival contacted Engine 261 and also Ohio Edison Power. Engine 261 arrived and blocked the roadway until Ohio Edison could make the repair.

After speaking with the mother, Officer spoke with the juveniles, who agreed to clean up the mess and to listen to their mother.

Dispatch contacted the U.S. Marshalls Office, who advised they did not have any agents in the area, and they were not looking for him. Officer did not find any agency looking for the caller.
