1/10/2017	4:55 PM	Loud Noise/Disturbance	Jackson St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loud music complaint. The complainant advised that the neighbor was playing his music too loud. Upon arrival, Officer could not hear the music until the Officer pulled into the driveway and rolled the windows down. Officer spoke with the neighbor about the complaint. Officer determined everything to be fine.
1/10/2017	12:10 AM	Suspicious Circumstances	Willowbend Cir.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the caller. He stated that one of the doors to his office room was locked. He stated he also heard footsteps that woke him up. Officers checked the residence but were unable to find anything out of the ordinary. Officers determined everything to be okay.
1/11/2017	12:38 AM	Message Delivery	West Second Ave.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location to make contact with the homeowner about her vehicle. Madison County Deputies advised that her vehicle was parked on the side of the road. She stated she did not know her vehicle was missing. She then realized her son was also not home. A short time later, the son contacted his mom and stated he was on his way home. Officers were then contacted by Madison County deputies that stated they had made contact with the son.
1/12/2017	9:15 PM	Suspicious Circumstances	Converse Ave.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 call. Dispatch advised that the caller heard a woman screaming in the area. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the caller. He stated that he was exiting his vehicle when he heard a woman screaming to the west of his residence. Officers searched the surrounding area and were unable to locate anything out of the ordinary.

She advised that she babysits small children in her residence. She said that today there was an incident with two of the children. She advised that one child's father got upset. The caller requested that the Officer speak to the father and advise him not to contact her or return to her residence.
1/3/2017	2:17 AM	DOC	West Main St.	Officer responded to the roadway on the listed street in reference to a suspicious male in the roadway. Upon arrival Officers observed Markus Oliver walking in the roadway. When he became belligerent and agitated, Markus Oliver was placed under arrest for Persistent Disorderly Conduct and Carrying Concealed Weapons.
1/3/2017	9:03 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loose dog. Officer met with the caller who stated the dog just stopped by and he let it in before advising the police of the loose dog. A short time later, Officer was advised of the dog owner and brought the dog back to the listed location, where the pet owner picked up the dog. Officer advised him to make sure to secure his dog. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the caller who explained that he must have accidentally dialed 911 while searching for church music on his cell phone. Officer concluded everything to be fine.
1/4/2017	7:56 PM	Warrant - Felony	West Ave.	Officer made contact with Paul "Jarod" Lester at the listed location in reference to a confirmed warrant for Failure to Report to Jail on a Non-Support out of the Union County Juvenile Court. He was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

The caller advised that there had been a crash but that they had moved their vehicles to McDonalds due to traffic. Upon arrival Officer met with the involved parties. Both parties exchanged insurance information and photos were taken.

The caller stated that the cat appeared to be injured as it was bleeding from its face and it didn't care to move as she was driving up the street. Upon arrival, Officer tried to get the cat into an animal carrier with the assistance of a neighbor. The cat suddenly took off running. Officer was then unable to locate the cat.
1/6/2017	2:24 AM	Curfew	East Main St.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a green Jeep Cherokee. Officer learned the registered owner had a temporary instructor permit with restrictions. Officer made contact with the driver/owner and passenger. Officer advised that he was operating the vehicle during restricted hours for the permit. Officer contacted both juvenile’s guardians. The driver was subsequently issued a citation Operating a Vehicle Outside of Temporary Permit Restrictions. Both juveniles were cited for curfew violations.
1/6/2017	9:21 AM	Bad Checks	West Main St.	While conducting a community contact at the listed location, the store manager advised of a bad check complaint. She said that an individual wrote a check to the business for $39.00 back in September. The complainant stated that someone had dropped off a large wooden object near their water fountain. Upon arrival Officer checked the area but could not determine who dropped off the object. Officer made contact with the complainant via public service. She stated that since it was not reported missing they would dispose of it.

1/7/2017	1:22 AM	Other Dispute	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was dispatched to listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Dispatch advised they received a call, but the caller hung up before speaking and did not answer any call backs. Upon arrival Officer learned two individuals got into a verbal altercation and left the building but then attempted to get back in the building to get personal property. This caused another verbal argument. The scene was deescalated and no one wished to pursue with any charges. Officer determined everything to be fine.	Plain City Lanes

Upon arrival to the listed location Officers found the runaway dog with a chain that was wrapped around bushes. Officers untangled the dog and made contact with the pet owner. He stated that the dog had pulled the stake out of the ground. Officers released the dog to him and returned to patrol.

She stated that she was upset that the police were called. Officers warned the individual not to threaten her neighbor. 1/8/2017	10:30 AM	Telecom Harassment	North Ave.	Officer was contacted in reference to a telecommunication harassment complaint. She stated that her ex boyfriend had been texting and calling her nonstop. She requested Officer contact the boyfriend and advise him to stop contacting her. Officer then made contact with the boyfriend. He apologized and stated that he would have no further contact with the complainant.
1/8/2017	1:01 PM	Neighbor Dispute	West South St.	Officer was met on station by the complainant. She advised that she had just been in a verbal altercation with her neighbor over parking at their apartment building. She advised that she wanted the Police Department to be aware of the incident in case there are further issues, She also requested that the Officer speak with the neighbor about the incident. He also advised that he stepped in a fresh pile of dog feces in his front yard. The resident wanted the Police Department to be aware.
12/27/2016	3:20 PM	Littering	Maple St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to littering complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with the business owner. He advised that, sometime over the weekend, unknown subject(s) filled his dumpster with trash. He found an individual's name on an item. Officer made contact with the individual a short time later and advised her of the incident. Officer advised her to tell the prior roommate, that this was not permitted and offered other solutions for the future.	Don Marshall Co.
12/27/2016	5:16 PM	Domestic Dispute	Noteman Rd.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute that occurred at the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller. She advised that her boyfriend, whom she has ceased a relationship with, will not leave the residence. Officer advised her that she would need to have him evicted due to them cohabitating together for the past month. Officer spoke with the boyfriend at the residence about the incident. Officer advised that they both needed to remain calm and walk away from any confrontations. Officer determined everything to be fine.

She advised that she went to get a new phone at Verizon Wireless and was advised that she had an outstanding account balance over $500.00. They would not provide her any of the account information, but advised that the account has been dormant since 2008. She stated that she has been a victim of identity theft in the past and thinks that this may be associated with it. Officer referred her to the Attorney General's Office for assistance with Identity Theft.
12/27/2016	6:12 PM	Assault - Misdemeanor	Noteman Rd.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Officer met with the complainant. He stated that a male individual and himself were involved in a verbal altercation. This escalated and became physical when the male pushed the complainant into the front door, in an attempt to remove him from the residence. John also stated that he felt threatened by Gary Brown because he yelled at him that he needed to leave. After further investigation Officers placed Gary Brown under arrest for Assault due to him attempting to cause physical harm.

12/28/2016	8:58 AM	Suspicious Circumstances	North Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. The caller advised that on Sunday night she was laying in bed when she heard a noise outside her window. When she turned her light on there was a loud crash directly outside her window. The next day she noticed multiple items had been moved and were directly outside her window. Officer checked the area but other than the displaced items mentioned, nothing unusual was observed. The caller requested extra patrol of the area.
12/28/2016	11:10 AM	Theft/Identity	South Chillicothe St.	Officer was met on station by an individual. He advised that he had recently discovered a fraudulent charge on his bank debit card. He advised he found a pending charge from Home Depot in the amount of $1746.11. He found that the Home Depot was in Pennsylvania and reported that he did not make this transaction and was still in possession of his card. He advised that his credit card company advised him to file a Police Report on this matter while they conducted an investigation.

He stated that an individual was dumping trash into the dumpsters at the listed location. Officer then made contact with the individual and advised not to dump trash there again.	Darby Apartments

12/28/2016	11:14 PM	Suspicious Vehicle	Shepper Ave.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The caller advised dispatch that the vehicle had been moving around parking repeatedly. Officers found a large white commercial-style van parked near the listed location and made contact with the driver. He stated that he was waiting for a friend to pack her clothing up. He was advised to park at that residence in the future.
12/29/2016	11:54 AM	Assist Other Agency	Plain City-Georgesville Rd.	Officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff's Office to back up a Deputy at the listed address. The Sheriff's Deputy had responded to an assault at the address and learned that the suspect was inside the residence and possibly had a handgun. Upon arrival with backup, Officers assisted with a search of the residence and a second residence but was not able to locate the suspect. At this time no charges were to be filed on the suspect, so all units returned to patrol.
12/29/2016	3:37 PM	Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle	Country View Ln.	Officers were dispatched to the police department in reference to take a non-injury accident. Upon arrival Officer met with the complainant who stated she had parked her white, GMC Terrain and she returned to her residence to find her vehicle was not there. She learned that her cousin, took the vehicle without permission. Upon closer inspection of the vehicle she observed a large dent. She advised she only wanted a report for insurance purposes.
12/29/2016	10:49 AM	Juvenile	Murlay Dr.	Officer was dispatched to the retention pond behind the listed location in reference to three juveniles that were standing on the ice on the pond. Upon arrival to the area, Officer located three juveniles matching the description given by the caller, leaving the area of the pond. Officer stopped and spoke with them about the ice and advised them of the dangers of walking on the ice and also what could happen if they fell through the ice. After speaking with them they agreed that it was not a good idea. After speaking with them Officer contacted their mothers, via phone, and advised them of the incident.
12/29/2016	7:12 AM	Juvenile	Dickens Ln.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a runaway juvenile. The caller advised that her son was having visitation at his father's residence. The juvenile left the residence in the early morning and went to a friend's house and called his mother to pick him up. Upon arrival with back up, Officer made contact with all of the parties at length and reminded to abide by the court ordered visitation.
12/30/2016	3:10 AM	Assist Other Agency	West Main St.	Officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff's Office with a Domestic Dispute. Upon arrival Officer observed a male individual having a verbal dispute with his sons and his daughter. Officer separated the parties and diffused the situation until the Sheriff's Deputies and Sergeant arrived and assistance was no longer needed.

Upon arrival Officer made contact with the employees of the listed location. They stated that an unknown male subject entered the bank, took a cup of coffee and left without speaking to anyone. The caller stated that he was traveling behind a silver Toyota Camry when the driver threw a large cup out of his window nearly striking his vehicle. Upon arrival Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Adam Stritenberger was issued a citation for littering out of a motor vehicle. He apologized for his actions.
12/30/2016	10:42 PM	Traffic Stop	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a grey Jeep Cherokee. Officer learned the registered owner was under suspension and initiated a traffic stop. John Mullins was subsequently issued a citation for Non Compliance Suspension and No Valid Operator’s License.
12/31/2016	5:31 AM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 N	Union County Sheriff's Sergeant and Deputy advised that Kirby's tow truck driver had an active warrant. Kirby's then arrived and once confirmed Sheriff's Deputy placed the driver in custody for an active warrant.
12/31/2016	11:45 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer observed a black Mustang parked on the south side of the listed location. Officer noticed two males sitting in the front seats. They advised that they work at the listed location and were parked there because they were trying to find a friend's house to go to for the New Year's celebration. The total amount of loss was $38.26 of fuel. Upon investigation, Officer found a resident of the previously listed plate. Union County Deputy made contact with the driver. 12/31/2016	1:02 PM	Suspicious Circumstances	Central Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious circumstance. Dispatch advised a foot print was located on the front glass door to the listed location, and thought someone might have tried to kick the door down. Upon arrival Officer met with the homeowner. Officer observed a shoe print, but did not observe any damage to the door, or anything else out of the ordinary. The homeowner wanted this incident documented in case of any further suspicious circumstances.

He reported that he found a spoon like item in the listed locations parking lot which he believed was for drug use. Upon arrival Officer made contact with an employee of the listed location. She stated that a male subject entered the listed location and requested she exit the building to assist him with his disabled vehicle. She advised the male subject to wait in his vehicle until Officer arrival. Once the male subject exited the business he started his vehicle and left the area. Investigation pending.	McDonald's
12/31/2016	4:24 AM	Drunk Driver	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was on patrol and observed a blue 2017 Honda Accord traveling northbound on listed street. The vehicle did not have any tail lights and the rear bumper was partially attached dragging behind the vehicle. Officer initiated a traffic stop and spoke with the driver/registered owner of the vehicle Samantha Graessle. Samantha Graessle was cited for Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, Super Concentration Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving Unsafe Vehicle and No Tail Lights. Samantha was released to a valid driver.
12/31/2016	8:53 AM	Animal Complaint - Other	Willowbend Cir.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller. He believed that they had moved out and were not returning and that there was a dog left inside. Upon investigation Officer found the residence appeared to be vacant with no dog inside.

The caller advised that one of the homeowner's dogs had been out overnight and asked the Officer to check on the resident. Officer met with the resident and she stated she was fine. Officer determined everything to be okay.
1/1/2017	12:23 AM	Loud Noise/Disturbance	North Ave.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. The complainant advised that the apartment below her have been arguing for several hours. Upon arrival, Officer could hear loud music coming from the apartment from the balcony. We also could hear a female singing. The female advised that she was not arguing, but just singing and dancing. Officers asked if there was anyone else inside the apartment, which she advised that her boyfriend. Officer advised to speak with him to ensure that everything was okay. He opened up the bedroom door and was belligerent. Officers were able to calm both of them down and warned for Disorderly Conduct.

Upon arrival, Officers could hear a male and a female yelling inside the residence. Officers advised them several times to stop arguing and yelling. When both would not stop arguing, Jeannie K. Chambers and Rasad S. Morrison were placed into custody. Jeannie K. Chambers were charged with Persistent Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing Official Business. Rasad S. Morrison was charged with Persistent Disorderly Conduct.
