Officer initiated a traffic stop, learned that Wanda Bates, had an active warrant out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Officer also learned, David Copley had an active warrant for Failure to Appear on an OVI charge out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Both individuals were taken into custody and were transported to Tri County Jail. Wanda was issued a traffic citation for marked lanes, No OL and License Forfeiture Suspension.

Upon arrival, officer made contact with the resident who advised he was upset that his neighbor to the rear of his residence has had two packages delivered at his residence, but would not come retrieve their package. The officer took the package to the correct resident and made him aware of the incident.

Upon arrival, officer made contact with the caller, who stated that he was involved in a verbal dispute with two of his neighbors. The caller stated that during the dispute one of the females intentionally spit directly into his face while only inches apart. Tonya Wright stated that she intentionally spit directly into the callers face. Tonya was subsequently placed into custody for Assault and transported to Tri County Regional Jail.

The caller advised that she was driving into town via SR161 when a silver Honda Accord passed her at a high rate of speed. Upon arrival, the officer was advised that a Madison County Deputy had already been there and that everything was fine. After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, officer was advised there was an argument about a child but that everything was fine. Upon arrival, officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The driver was given a warning for the unsafe vehicle, advised to drive slowly with his hazards on to his residence.

Officer observed three males, who appeared to be juveniles, exit the vehicle and made contact with them. One juvenile was issued a citation for Wrongful Entrustment and all three juveniles charged with a curfew violation.

A traffic stop was initiated on the corner of West Main Street and Jackson Blvd. Upon approach, officer observed raw marijuana in the vehicle. Upon a probable cause search of the vehicle, a marijuana bowl in the same location as the marijuana. Samantha Gingerich was cited with Headlights, Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
17-Oct-21	11:34:00 AM	Drugs - Other	SR 161 E	Officers initiated a traffic stop on US42 near Alcott Dr and made contact with driver. The driver was advised his license was currently suspended. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, a small plastic baggie containing a white crystal substance was located in the center console and a glass pipe with burnt marks consistent with meth consumption. The driver was issued a citation for No Valid OL and Noncompliance suspension. The driver was advised further charges would be issued pending testing. He was advised to standby for a valid driver.
17-Oct-21	6:16:00 PM	Trespasser	East Main St.	Officers were dispatched to the area of the new development on East State Route 161 and old State Route 161 for a military style vehicle with four people inside. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the occupants. They were all verbally warned for trespassing for the night and they all left.

Officer located a green Honda CRV with two blown passenger side tires that were ground down and the vehicle had heavy damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. Officer spoke with the vehicle owner, who advised she hit something while driving home from PF Chang's. Officer contacted the surrounding agencies and advised them about the vehicle for possible hit skip crash.

19-Oct-21	1:01:00 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	Plain City-Georgesville Rd.	Officer was dispatched to a complaint of a U-Haul truck backed into a grass pull off across from Darby Fields. Upon arrival, officer located the vehicle and driver. The driver was gathering water samples for his company, Gantzer Water, to do water studies for the Village of Plain City's water plant upgrade. Upon determining everything to check okay, officer returned to patrol.
20-Oct-21	11:32:00 AM	Driving Complaint	East West Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location on a driving complaint of a black vehicle going the wrong way on the one way street. Upon arrival, the officer observed a black Acura ILX parked facing the wrong way. Officer made contact with vehicle owner and was asked to turned his vehicle around.
20-Oct-21	2:12:00 PM	Solicitor	North Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the area of North Avenue in reference to a solicitor complaint. Complainant advised two males came to the residence and attempted to sell her meat. The males never identified a company they worked for. Officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.
20-Oct-21	9:27:00 PM	Barking Dog	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a barking dog complaint. The caller advised that she could hear a dog barking, coming from the listed location. Upon arrival, officer could not hear any dogs barking until I knocked on the door of the residence. No one appeared to be at the residence, contacted residence via phone and advised her that further complaints could result in a barking dog charge.
21-Oct-21	3:28:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 S	Officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to check US 42 S near Price Hilliards Rd for a possible domestic violence/dispute. Once officers assistance was no longer needed, officer returned to patrol.
21-Oct-21	8:46:00 PM	Other Dispute	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a dispute. Upon arrival, officer met with the employee, who stated the other individual already left the location. The employee, declined to pursue any type of charges. 21-Oct-21	6:53:00 PM	Parking Complaint	Lantern Ln.	Officer was on patrol and observed a white Honda van bearing parked on the roadway on Lantern Ln. The van was parked facing eastbound. The officer notified the vehicle owner, he parked on the correct side of the street but that it had to be facing westbound. The vehicle owner was given a warning and moved his vehicle without issue.

22-Oct-21	6:33:00 AM	Unruly	Converse Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in regards to a juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, officer advised of the situation. Everything was under control and no further assistance was needed. After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

22-Oct-21	11:39:00 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle with two occupants. Upon arrival, officer made contact with the occupants. The business did not want them sitting in the parking lot. Officer notified the occupants and the vehicle was moved. Upon arrival, officer located a brown and gray lab mix, that appeared to be injured. Officer requested the Madison County Dog Warden to assist with taking the canine to the Humane Society. 22-Oct-21	5:44:00 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	West Main St.	Officer observed a female crouched on the sidewalk on West Main St. Upon arrival, officer learned that she was comforting an animal that had just been hit. A few minutes later, the pet owner arrived and took the animal. After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.
22-Oct-21	10:22:00 PM	Assist Other Agency	Rickard Rd.	Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to attempt to locate a suspicious vehicle. Once the officer's assistance was no longer needed, officer returned to patrol.
23-Oct-21	12:53:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	Smith Calhoun Rd.	Officers responded to the listed location at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a domestic dispute. Once the officers assistance was no longer necessary, both units returned to patrol.
24-Oct-21	4:13:00 PM	Non-Injury Crash	East Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location for a non-injury accident. Upon arrival, officer was notified that one of the vehicles had left. After further investigation, the second vehicle was located and information was exchanged.

25-Oct-21	8:52:00 AM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location for a downed tree and property damage. Upon arrival, the officer observed the tree was split in two, one large section was blocking the alley behind the residence and part had fallen partially onto a 2020 Honda Fit and damaged several pieces of patio furniture. The Plain City Public Works department arrived on scene and placed cones out around the tree until it could be cut up and removed. The neighbors were advised to exchange information due to the damage caused.
25-Oct-21	9:44:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	SR 736	Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to respond to the listed location. Once the officer's assistance was no longer needed, officer returned to patrol.
26-Oct-21	12:48:00 AM	Marijuana	Church St.	Officers observed a gray 2010 Subaru Impreza traveling eastbound on East Main Street at Shepper Ave. Officer initiated a traffic stop for the violation and made contact with the driver and passenger. It was learned the driver only had a drivers permit and not a valid driver’s license. Officer could smell the odor of raw marijuana. After probable cause search, officers found a small glass jar containing marijuana, a metal marijuana pipe, small glass jar with marijuana cigarette butts, a marijuana edible. Avocado Cannabis extract with residue inside and a glass marijuana pipe that the passenger took ownership of. The passenger was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license and warned for the equipment violation. A valid driver arrived and drove both parties home.
