Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible sick or injured chipmunk. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised Officer that she had called in about this chipmunk yesterday but Officer was unable to locate it. The caller advised that today it is trapped in her garage with the garage door down. Upon opening the garage door the chipmunk ran out and took off toward the rear of the house and disappeared into the brush. I advised the caller that the chipmunk did appeared injured or sick by the way it was moving. Officer advised the caller that if it returns feel free to call PCPD back. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officers responded to the intersection of Plain City Georgesville Road and Cemetery Pike in reference to a multi-vehicle injury crash. Once OSP Post 49 arrived on the scene and advised that Officers were no longer needed, Officers returned to patrol.

Officers were dispatched to McDonald's in reference to a suicide attempt. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with subject who advised she and her boyfriend had just broke up.  Subject stated she told him she was going to commit suicide as an attempt to get him back. Subject was seen by Medic 261 and declined to go to the hospital. Officer then spoke with the boyfriend who agreed to let subject stay at his residence until subject finds somewhere else to stay.

Vehicle Fire

US Rt. 42 N

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, Officers learned subject was driving a 2001 International truck on US 42 N near Rickard Road.  Subject was towing a black top heating unit, which caught fire. Engine 261 and Engine 210 were already on scene upon Officer’s arrival and put out the fire. The vehicle was off of the roadway and vehicle driver advised a tow company was enroute. After determining everything to be okay, Officers then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was met on station by subject.  Subject advised that on Saturday morning, he was in the area of N. Chillicothe Street when he found a fit bit lying in the road. Note; This was the morning of the Plain City 4 Mile Walk/ Run and this area was part of the route. Officer took possession of the fitbit.

On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the listed location in reference to an unresponsive male. Upon arrival with Pleasant Valley Fire Department, Officers located subject who was deceased on his living room floor. Officer made contact with the Madison County Coroner who declined to respond to the scene. Officer then made contact with the family doctor who stated that he would sign the death certificate. Traffic Stop

Plain City-Georgesville Rd.

Officer observed a white Dodge Neon traveling northbound on Plain City Georgesville Rd near Darby Fields Blvd. Officer checked the vehicles speed using stationary laser at 48MPH. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and learned the vehicle registration expired on 06-07-19 and the registered owner's license expired on the same date. After further investigation, it was found the vehicle registration belonged to a Toyota pick-up truck, not the Dodge Neon. Officer then made contact with the vehicle driver/owner, William Beddow. William was subsequently issued a traffic citation for expired OL and Fictitious Tags. William was given a verbal warning for speed and expired tags. Williams vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot. William walked to his friend's house prior to the tow truck’s arrival.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible stolen vehicle/unauthorized use complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller and vehicle owner. She advised that she and her son argued over him wanting to take her car to London.  Vehicle owner advised her son then got in the car (2005 Chevrolet Cobalt) and left. Vehicle owner advised Officer that her son is normally allowed to use the car but that she didn't want him to tonight.  Vehicle owner also advised she did not want to pursue charges she just wanted the vehicle back. Officer advised vehicle owner that a voicemail message was left for her son to return the vehicle. Officer advised vehicle owner to call PCPD back if he returns and there is any issues. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to Country Place Lane to meet with complainant in reference to a possible illegal dumping at the County Place Community Center dumpster yesterday. Upon arrival, Officer found that complainant was not home. Officer then spoke with complainant's wife who advised Officer that a neighbor had seen a vehicle pull to the dumpster and put trash in. The neighbor provided complainant with an Ohio registration.  Officer advised complainant wife’s that the registered owner of the vehicle lives on Country Place Lane and was not dumping illegally. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a red Jeep that was exiting Mike's Pit Stop, northbound to Smith Place. Officer learned that the registration returned to a Maroon Kia four-door. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Steven North. Steven advised that the vehicle belonged to one of his kids and the license plates belonged to a friend. Officer than deployed the Narcotics Detection K9 "Andor" around the vehicle.  K9 “Andor” provided a positive alert to the driver's door. Upon searching the vehicle, Officer located an uncapped, used syringe on the passenger side floorboard. Steven advised that it was not his and denied knowing what it was used for. Steven was subsequently issued a citation for No OL, FRA Suspension, and Failure to Transfer Registration. Charges pending analysis of the syringe contents. See corresponding numbers for further.

Officer was southbound on Plain City Georgesville Road when Officer observed a deer run into the side of a northbound vehicle. Upon making contact with the driver and the vehicle owner and passenger Patricia Hakes, they advised there was no damage to the vehicle. Driver advised that the deer ran off west and disappeared in the trees. Driver advised it was badly injured and would probably need to be put down. Officer then checked the area with the assistance of another PCPD Officer, but was unable to locate the deer. Officers then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a barking dog. Upon arrival, Officer heard the dogs barking and attempted to make contact with the dog owner, but the homeowner was not home. Officer attempted several phone numbers of previous residents but was advised they no longer lived there. Later, Officer made contact with canine owner at the residence. Canine owner was advised of the complaint and given a warning. The dogs were already taken back into the residence by this time. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Fanshell Drive and Alderwood Circle in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer learned the owner lives at Alderwood Circle North. Vehicle owner was advised and asked to park further away from the intersection. Once the vehicle was moved, Officer determined everything to be fine and returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a wild animal that was stuck in the garage there. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller and the resident. They showed Officer to a skunk that had gotten its leg stuck in a chair and was hurt. Officer was able to assist the caller with freeing the skunk. Due to the injuries to the skunk, Officer later dispatched the animal in the back yard of the property. The homeowner advised they would take care of the skunk’s remains. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer made contact with caller who advised she did not see anyone and only heard the loud knocking. Officer advised caller, Officer would be checking the area periodically the rest of the evening. Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a non-injury accident. Upon arrival, Officer met with the vehicle driver who advised he was driving his red BMW sedan eastbound on SR 161 near Butler Ave when a small deer ran southbound across the roadway causing him to strike it. Driver advised he did not want a crash report taken that he was just worried about leaving the deer in the roadway. The deer was removed from the roadway and photographs of the vehicle damage were taken. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer met with complainant at the listed location. Complainant advised a black car (unknown make/model/registration) come through the intersection at Church Street.  Complainant noticed a white male (short brown hair and wearing sunglasses) driving the vehicle. The male stuck a black handgun out of the driver's side window. Complainant honked his horn and the vehicle left the area. Upon closer inspection, complainant noticed that one of their trailers, parked near the intersection, had two dents from copper BB's. Complainant advised that he did not hear or see the shots because he was inside his vehicle with the windows rolled up. Officer did locate a BB on the ground next to the trailer. Complainant requested the incident be documented.

Officer responded to the area of Alderwood Circle in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with suspect, whose work truck was parked on the wrong side of the street. Officer advised subject that he needed to move the vehicle, as parking was only permitted on one side of the street. Subject moved the vehicle without incident. Officer then returned to patrol.
