West Main St.

Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a dispute at the listed location. Officer made contact with a male subject and female subject.  Female subject was very upset. She stated that she cashed a check of one of her client's at the listed location which bounced due to insufficient funds. She also wanted a receipt for her paying check amount and fees. Officer assisted with getting female subject receipt, so she could seek the financial reimbursement from client. Female subject advised she did not want to file a police report in reference to the bounced check. She advised she would contact the police department if she had issues getting reimbursed at a later date. Once calmer heads prevailed, Officer returned to patrol.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

West Main St.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. The caller stated that a female inside the listed location appeared to be intoxicated. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the female as she exited the business. She stated that she was not under the influence of any substance and that she was the passenger inside her friend’s vehicle. Officer then made contact with the friend. Upon speaking to them further, Officer learned that neither party possessed a valid driver’s license. Female subject arranged for a family member and a friend to come pick them up. Officer advised both parties of the consequence if they were found driving while under suspension. Both parties thanked Officer for my time and Officer returned to patrol.

Assault - Misdemeanor

West Main St.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to an active fight. Upon arrival, Officers learned that a female subject was walking in front of the listed location and got into a verbal argument with three individuals.  Female subject then followed the three individuals into the listed location and a physical altercation occurred.  Female subject then left the business on foot.  Officer made contact with her in front of West Main Street and released her to her mother.  Assault charges pending.  See case for further.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to the listed location in reference to an alarm drop. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer then returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

US Rt. 42 N

Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a non-injury vehicle crash. While on a traffic stop, Officer observed a 2017 silver Cadillac SUV traveling southbound on US 42 south of SR 736 strike a deer crossing the roadway. Officer made contact with vehicle driver who advised he was not injured.  Another Officer arrived on scene to attempt to locate the deer, but was unsuccessful. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. Once Officer finished documenting the scene, Officer then returned to patrol.

Barking Dog

Weathervane Way

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a barking dog. Upon arrival, Officer could hear a dog barking in the rear of the residence. Officer made contact with the animal's owner. She apologized and advised she had fallen asleep. The dog was brought into the residence. Officer then returned to patrol.
