Officer responded in reference to an alarm drop. Officer made contact with an employee that was supposed to be there, she advised it was accidental. After deeming everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

US Rt. 42 N

Officers initiated a traffic stop for several traffic violations. After making contact with the occupants, the driver, Dustin Wilkerson, did not have a valid driver's license and also had a warrant out of Champaign County Sheriff's Office. Dustin was placed into custody without incident. K-9 Andor completed an open air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert however, nothing was located during the probable cause search. Ultimately, Dustin was issued citations for the traffic violations and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail on the warrant. The passenger was warned for not wearing a seatbelt.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a vandalism complaint. The caller advised, her vehicle had eggs and ketchup thrown on the rear of the vehicle overnight. Officer looked to see if there were any cameras around but there weren't. Officer let the caller know that a report would be on file.

Officer observed several subjects inside the listed location after hours. Officer entered the business and was met by the business owner. who advised everything was fine. After deeming everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched regarding a trespassing issue at the listed location. The caller advised a subject has been making the employees feel uncomfortable and management would like the subject to be Trespassed from the property. Officer contacted the subject and verbally Trespassed him from the location and let him know the possible consequences if he went back to the location.

Traffic Stop

Officers initiated a traffic stop due speeding. The driver did not have a valid driver's license and ultimately was issued a citation for the violations. Once a valid driver arrived on scene, the officer returned to patrol.

Officer were dispatched in reference to an alarm drop. Officers made contact with an employee, who advised she accidentally set off the alarm. After deeming everything to be fine, officers returned to patrol.

Officers observed a male subject walking down Maple Street, yelling and then threw a glass beer bottle. Officers approached and spoke with the male subject, Jack DeMatteis, 25, of Plain City and subsequently he was cited for Open Container and Disorderly Conduct. The subject was released to a family member.

Officer took a report in reference to fraud. The complainants advised they received a fraud alert from their bank, where a large amount of money was deposited into the account from an unknown source. The bank is working with the complainant but also advised the complainant to file a police report.

Officer responded at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office, in reference to an alarm drop. Officer checked the building and found it secured and a keyholder declined to respond to the scene. After deeming everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched on a report of a barking dog. Officer canvassed the area but was unable to hear or locate a barking dog.
