Officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the driver, Katelyn Moody, had an active warrant for Failure to Appear out of Madison County. It was also learned, Katelyn was driving on a suspended license. Ultimately, Katelyn Moody was arrested on the warrant. A probable cause search was conducted and a crack pipe and numerous prescription medications were located. Subsequently, she was issued a citation for No Valid OL, Noncompliance suspension, and given a summons for Drug paraphernalia.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a 911 unknown. Upon arrival, officer checked the location and did not observe any signs of distress. After deeming everything to be ok, officer returned to patrol.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a possible kidnapping. The caller advised she believed she witnessed an unknown male take her daughter and grandmother. Upon further investigation, Champaign County Sheriff's Office made contact with the grandmother at her residence and she advised that everything was fine.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a civil standby.  Upon arrival, the caller advised the father of her children wouldn't return them. After speaking with to both parties, it was decided the father would keep the children over night. They were encouraged to contact the police department for a civil standby, if needed.

Officers responded in reference to a possible fight. Upon arrival, there was a truck parked in the alley attempting to back up. Officers made contact with the driver and learned he had been engaged in a physical dispute with several employees. The employees declined to press charges. Subsequently, the driver Joseph Peterman, was placed into custody for OVI and was issued a citation for OVI and Disorderly Conduct.

Officers responded in reference to a sick person. The caller advised that a subject had possibly taken a drug. Officers and Medic 261 arrived on scene and assessed the situation. Ultimately, Medic 261 transported the subject to Dublin Methodist Hospital.

US Rt. 42 S

Officers responded to assist the Madison County Sheriff's Office in reference to an unauthorized use of a vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Madison County received a tip, showing the vehicle in a different part of Madison County. Once their assistance was no longer needed, officers returned to patrol.

Officer responded in reference to an intoxicated female. The caller stated she was intoxicated walking near East First Ave, and needed a ride, the disconnected the call. Officer checked the area, but didn't find anyone. A short time later the caller was located at a residence on North Ave. The caller agreed to stay at the residence for the rest of the evening. Officer warned the caller for Disorderly Conduct.

Officers were requested in the area of Marathon on US42N in reference to a road rage incident that turned in to a verbal argument. Once the parties were separated and the officers assistance were no longer needed, they returned to patrol.

Officer responded in reference to a private property crash. A Black Nissan Acura attempting to leave the listed location backed into the driver side door of a Black Chevrolet Avalanche. Parties exchanged information and an incident report was taken.

Officer responded in reference to a Identity Fraud. The caller advised he had received mail from the Department Job and Family Services(DJFS) about a pin change to his unemployment account. The caller also advised he contacted DJFS and they advised him to file a report with the police department. An incident report was taken.
