Suspicious Person/Vehicle

South Jefferson Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer observed a black 4-door sedan bearing parked out front of the listed address. Upon making contact with the occupant inside the vehicle, Officer discovered the subject was waiting at the store for the pallet sale to start and wanted to be the first in line. Afterwards both units then returned to patrol.

Warrant - Felony

SR 161 E

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer conducted a routine registration check on a gray 2012 Ford F150 and learned the registered owner, Adelso Barrientos, had an OH driver's license that had been expired since 2-25-2016. Officer then initiated a traffic stop with the above vehicle on SR161 near Old SR161, and made contact with Adelso. Officer then learned Adelso had a ICE warrant for Deportation.  Adelso was placed into custody and transported to the Plain City Police Department.  A short time later ICE Agent took custody of Adelso. Adelso was issued a citation for No Valid OL. Officer then returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

North Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location having prior knowledge that, Richard Hay, had an active warrant out of the Marysville Police Department for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with Richard inside his residence. Officer placed Richard into custody without issue. Officer then transported Richard to Tri-County Regional Jail where he was released into their custody. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, Officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate a barking dog. Both units then returned to patrol.
At 0110 hours, Officer located the barking dog at the listed location. Officer made contact with the owner of the canine and advised him of the complaint. Canine owner stated he would take care of the issue. Officer then returned to patrol.

Theft - Misdemeanor

Nighthawk Dr.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with Project Manager for M/I Homes who advised there was a theft that occurred of a Bryant Air Conditioning Unit.  Subject advised this occurred between the dates of 6-26-20 to 6-29-20. It is valued at $2160.00. See case for further.

Central Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The caller advised that she walked out of her residence and found a black male with long dreads in her vehicle. Caller advised she confronted him and he left in a white Chevy SUV or van.  Caller stated that when he got into the vehicle there were other black males in the vehicle; all were approximately in their twenties. Officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.  Officer then returned to patrol.  A BOLO was sent out to neighboring agencies in reference to officer safety and potential thefts from vehicles.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a vehicle break in. Upon arrival, Officer met with victim, who stated to that around 1700 hours he noticed that someone had broken into his vehicle. Victim further stated that his vehicle has been parked in the garage all day and that he did not hear or see anything suspicious. Victim and Victim's wife filled out voluntary statements.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a verbal dispute. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with subject who advised that he recently let a friend move in with him.  Subject advised he noticed around $300.00 come up missing. Subject advised he was unsure if it was stolen or lost, but wanted it documented. Officers spoke with friend who denied taking any of the money. After deeming everything fine, Officers returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who was playing music excessively loud inside of the garage at the listed address, while the garage door was open. Officer advised subject of the complaint as well as told him he needs to turn the music down. Subject turned the music down and Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer met with complainant at the police department.  Complainant advised that she observed a suspicious vehicle, never seen before, in her neighborhood around 1600 Hours.  After conducting a registration check on the vehicle, Officer learned that it returned to an employee for a local pizza shop and may have been making a delivery.  Officer advised complainant of findings and returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible unauthorized use of a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who stated a friend has been staying at his residence the past few days. At around 1800 hours, the friend asked to borrow subject's red 1996 Mazda truck to go to the gas station.  The friend never came back with the truck, and she turned her phone off.  Subject advised he did not want to pursue with any charges and would wait until the morning to see if friend returned the vehicle.

On this date and time, complainant met Officer on station and advised that subject told her that she was going to "cut her throat and watch her bleed out."  While trying to ask complainant questions about the alleged threats, complainant said she didn't want to do anything and said that nothing would happen anyway.  Officer confirmed with complainant that she did not want to provide a written statement regarding the alleged threats and that she did not want anyone to speak to subject.  After doing so, Officer then returned to patrol.

On this date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location on a domestic dispute.  Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant who began to advise Officer that her daughter had caused some issues with subject.  Subject, who was sitting there, told complainant that she misunderstood and there was no reason to rehash it again.  Complainant was satisfied with this, but then expressed concern that her daughters were going to sell her house.  Officer explained that if the house belonged to complainant, her daughters could not sell it without her consent.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

On this date and time, Officer met with complainant and his brother who advised that complainant had suffered some medical issues and while recovering, he had subject helping him with some basic tasks at his house and running some errands.  While doing this, complainant had given subject access to his ATM card.  Complainant and his brother believes that subject has defrauded complainant of approximately $25,000.  Case is pending.

Threatened Suicide

West Main St.

On this date and time, Officer met with complainant at the listed location in regards to her sister making threats of self-harm.  Eventually, MCSO located sister.  MCSO initiated a traffic stop and determined that she had not harmed herself.  PCPD Officer arrived a short time later and Officers were able to convince sister to go for a mental health assessment.  MCSO transported sister directly and Officer returned to patrol after passing this information on to complainant.

Injury Crash

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location for a possible injury accident. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the driver of grey Honda sedan.  Officer then spoke with the driver of the blue Honda Sedan, Avery Gaylor. Avery advised Officer that he struck the grey Honda because it went off to the shoulder and then came back onto the roadway.  Driver of grey Honda denied what Avery advised. Avery was later issued a citation for ACDA. Grey Honda was towed off the roadway.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that a male subject knocked on her front door for some time and then left the area on foot. Officer checked the outside of residence and the surrounding area, but was unable to locate the male. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a loose dog complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that a yellow lab had ran into her yard and she did not know who it belonged to. While speaking to caller, the dog’s owner arrived. Dog owner stated that the dog had ran out of her residence when a contractor failed to close the door. Dog owner apologized and stated that it would not happen again. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a mental health episode. Upon arrival to the area, Officers location subject near the listed location. While speaking with subject, subject made comments about wanting to harm others.  Subject was pink slipped due to threats and manic behavior. Officer then transported subject to the hospital and returned to patrol.  A CIT was completed.

CIT Incident

North Chillicothe St.

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible theft. While enroute to the caller’s residence, Officer observed caller near Main Street. As Officer stopped his vehicle and approached caller, caller took off his shirt and began sprinting, full speed, towards his house. Officer followed caller who advised a friend came into his residence and stole his wallet. There were no signs that the friend was inside of the residence, and Officer was unable to locate or speak to friend due to her phone being turned off.  Caller, who has a history of mental illness, declined a medic and did not want to go to the hospital. Caller, who was not a harm to himself or others, stated he was going to stay inside for the remainder of the day. Officer then returned to patrol.
