Upon arrival, Officers learned that the cigarette had caught the carpet on fire, but it had been extinguished prior to Officers arrival. Officers stood by until the Pleasant Valley Fire Department arrived and once assistance was no longer needed, Officers returned to patrol.

Officer then initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle on S. Chillicothe St near West Ave and made contact with Carl Phillips III. Carl was then issued a citation for Expired Tags and released. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an assault. Officer then placed Chris Freeman into custody for Assault and Criminal Trespass. Officer transported him to jail while another Officer completed the necessary paperwork.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Complainant stated that the male subject did not do or say anything suspicious but that he made her feel uncomfortable. Officer advised complainant that if the male subject returned to call again. Complainant thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

Officer advised complainant that Officer would get her added and advised her to call is she sees suspicious activity in the alley way. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Officer made contact with suspect at her residence. She advised that the white Jeep belonged to her father in law. She apologized and stated that she would have the vehicle moved. Officer then returned to patrol.

Domestic Dispute

Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. The caller stated that he observed a male subject strike a female subject in the face and then both parties go into the business. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the female subject who stated that the dispute was strictly verbal and that male subject never struck her in anyway. Male subject confirmed that the dispute was strictly verbal and that he would be walking to a friend's house, where he would stay for the night. After male subject left the residence both Officers returned to patrol.

Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the listed location after hours. Once determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Drunk Driver

Alderwood Cir.

Officer received a driving complaint regarding a silver Chrysler that was driving erratically on Plain City-Georgesville Road. Officer located the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on Alderwood Circle North.  Officer made contact with the driver, Robert E. Colley.  Mr. Colley was subsequently arrested for OVI, OVI Refusal and Open Container. His vehicle was secured at the scene and he was eventually transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.

Officer observed a grey Honda Accord turn eastbound from an alley way onto East First Ave without activating its turn signal. Officer initiated a traffic stop with this vehicle on North Ave just north of East Main Street. Refer to case for further.

Officer met with complainant at the listed location in reference to her receiving unwanted and inappropriate emails related to her massage therapy business. Officer told complainant that Officer would try to determine a method to get more complete details regarding who sent the message and if successful, Officer could pursue criminal charges. Officer will follow-up with complainant at a later date to obtain additional information.

Parking Complaint

South Chillicothe St.

Officer observed seventeen vehicles parked in the no parking zone on South Chillicothe Street near the listed location. Officer made contact with the homeowner and advised her of the situation. She apologized and stated that everyone would be leaving her residence shortly. Officer encouraged her to have her visitor's park on the opposite side of the roadway in the future. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Animal Complaint - Other

North Chillicothe St.

Officer responded to the listed address in reference to a loose dog. Officer was able to contact suspect using one of the telephone numbers listed on the dog tag search. Suspect advised that he would meet Officer at the residence to retrieve his daughter's dog. A short time later suspect arrived and took the dog. He was warned about letting the dog get loose. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer observed a grey Hyundai SUV traveling westbound on West Main St near West Bigelow Ave. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Eli Dean. Eli was placed into custody and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail by Officer.  Eli was booked in for Obstructing Official Business and Drug Paraphernalia. Eli also received a traffic citation for No OL and Non Compliance Suspension. See Case for further.

Officer responded to the listed location In reference to an unruly juvenile. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller.  Upon speaking to the caller further she decided to call off work and remain home since school was closed. Officer instructed juvenile to listen to his mother's instructions. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the area of US 42 and SR 161 in reference to a driving complaint. Officer made contact with the driver and advised him the reason for the stop. He apologized and stated that he was unaware he had crossed the centerline. After speaking to subject further and observing no signs of impairment, Officer issued him a verbal warning for marked lanes.

The messages were on Facebook messenger.  After further investigation it was found the messages were sent from a fake Facebook profile. Officer advised the complainant to block the account. Complainant advised Officer he blocked the account and would keep an eye out for fake profiles.

Officer was met at the Police Department by subject who requested a civil standby. However, the other party never showed up for the exchange. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer observed a white Cadillac sedan traveling westbound on West Ave near South Jefferson Ave. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle driver, Andrew La Pat. Andrew was then issued a traffic citation for marked lanes and speed. Andrew was issued a criminal summons for Marijuana Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. See case for further.

Maple St.

Officer received a direct complaint of a water main break near the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer observed a large amount of water coming through a crack in the pavement, just before the north entrance to the listed location. Officer notified the Street Department, who arrived a short time later. Officer then returned to patrol.
