West Main St.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible suicidal male. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with James Carpenter. James was subsequently placed into custody for Using Weapons While Intoxicated (ORC 2923.15A). He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail by Officer and released into their custody. Animal Complaint - Other

West Main St.

While on routine patrol, Officer observed a black/brown Miniature Pinscher on the sidewalk in front of the listed location. The canine ran northbound across West Main Street. It then continued eastbound on the sidewalk. The canine ran southbound across West Main Street and caused a vehicle in front of me to hit its brakes to avoid striking the dog. Officer made contact with the owner, Robert White, and advised him of the incident. Officer advised him that PCPD has spoken with him in the past about this issue. Robert was advised that he would be issued a summons for Confining, restraining, debarking dogs (ORC 955.22C1).  See case for further.

East West Ave.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a dog defecating in a yard. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant.  Officer was able to make contact with the canine owner.   Canine owner advised Officer he would pick up the feces over the weekend. Officer advised complainant that canine owner would be cleaning up the yard. Officer then returned to patrol.

West South St.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Upon arrival, Officer checked the field behind the listed location but was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary. Officer then made contact with subject inside the residence. Subject stated that her phone was confusing and that she did not understand what caused it to dial 911.  Officer advised subject the proper steps to follow if the issue continued. Subject thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

Brock Rd.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to respond to Brock Road for an activated alarm. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

Attempted Suicide

North Ave.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suicide attempt. Officer checked the residence but did not locate the suspect, Officers located the subject, but he did not listen to requests to come out of the creek. A while later, he then gave himself up and was transported by medics to hospital.  Subject was pink-slipped for a psychiatric evaluation.  A CIT report was filed.

Officer was contacted by complainant. Complainant advised subjects were outside of the residence.  Complainant advised he and his wife then left without incident.  Female subject than called in right after Officer got off the phone with complainant. Officer advised subject to contact the Police Department if complainant and his wife attempted to do anything.

Officers were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with all parties involved.  Due to conflicting stories, all parties were advised to no longer make contact with each other. Officers then returned to patrol.

North Ave.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, Officer located a large bonfire in the back yard. Subject advised she did not know it was illegal to burn a large pile of trash. Subject was given a warning and advised of the consequences if this were to happen again. Pleasant Valley Fire Department put out the fire, and Officer returned to patrol.

Maple St.

Officer responded to Maple Street in front of the listed location in reference to a possible water main break. Upon arrival, Officer observed a large amount of water blocking the street. Officer made contact with the Village's Street Department. Village Street Department stated that it appeared to be an issue with the drainage system and not a water main break but that he would check the issue further. Officer then returned to patrol.
