9/19/2019 6:10 PM Theft - Misdemeanor Lafayette-Plain City Rd. Officer received a call from Director of Edgewater Place stating that an employee quit today and took a key to the medical office that houses their medications. Complainant advised that they had called the employee and requested she bring the key back, but she never showed up.  Another employee also texted her, but the subject never showed up.  Complainant requested that Officer make contact with employee and have her bring the key back. Officer was able to make contact with employee and advise her of the incident. She stated that she never received a text message from anyone, but was currently on her way to drop off the key. Officer relayed the information to complainant and also advised her to contact the police department if there are any issues. Edgewater Place Assisted Living Approved
9/19/2019 3:50 PM Solicitor Converse Ave. Officer received a call from complainant who advised Officer that there was a female walking in one of the alleys west of Converse Avenue. The female was on her cell phone, crying and stated that she didn't want to go back to jail. Upon arrival, Officer located and made contact with subject.  Subject informed Officer that the Social Security Administration called her and said that she owed them money and there was a warrant for her arrest. Officer advised subject that she was being scammed.  Officer explained the scam to subject in detail.  Subject advised that she understood it.  Upon further investigation, Officer learned that subject was soliciting without a permit. Officer requested that subject make contact with her boss and have her come to the scene. A few minutes later Officer made contact with subject's boss.  Both subjects were given a warning for Soliciting Without a Permit and advised to gather up all of their employees. Subjects were provided instructions on how to obtain a legal permit. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
9/19/2019 3:29 PM Traffic Stop South Chillicothe St. Officer conducted a routine registration check on a maroon Ford Taurus traveling northbound on South Chillicothe St.  The registration returned to, Melissa Vanhook, a suspended driver. The registration also returned to a different vehicle, a grey Toyota Echo. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Melissa Vanhook. Officer advised Melissa the reason for the traffic stop.  Melissa was later issued a citation for Driving on a Judgment Suspension, No Valid OL, Failure to Reinstate, and Fictitious Tags. Melissa's vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.     Pending
9/19/2019 10:35 AM Animal Complaint - Other Gray St. Officer responded to the listed location on the report of a loose dog that was reportedly vicious. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant who advised that while he was walking out to his garden at the rear of his property he was confronted by a neighbor's dog. While speaking with complainant, the owner of the dog, approached. Officer then spoke to dog owner who advised that she let the dog outside and continued brushing her teeth. When she finished, she went to let the dog in but saw the dog down with complainant. She yelled for the dog, which came to her.  Officer gave dog owner a warning for allowing to let her dog run at large and for failing to register. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Pending
9/19/2019 6:28 AM 911 Follow-up Central Ave. Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with both residents who advised she somehow hit the emergency button on her phone while turning the alarm off. There did not appear to be any issues and both advised they were getting the kids ready for school. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
9/19/2019 12:23 AM Fire Support South Jefferson Ave. Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an unknown medical problem. Upon arrival, Officer observed subject inside of her white Toyota.  Subject advised she previously had a medical condition and sometimes gets sick and passes out. Subject was then transported to the hospital by the medic.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol. McDonald's Pending
