12/13/2019 11:20 PM Suspicious Circumstances East First Ave. On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to suicide threats. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with subject and his mother. Subject advised he was messaging a friend.  The friend must've mistaken the message for suicide threats. Once Officers determined everything to be okay, Officers then returned to patrol.   Approved
12/13/2019 6:20 PM Animal Complaint - Other Surrey Ct. On the listed date and time, Officers responded to an animal complaint at the listed location. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with complainant who stated that his dog jumped their fence and had an altercation with their neighbor's dog.  Officers made contact with the neighbor whose dog was also involved in the altercation. Neighbor stated that her dog was outside in her yard when the neighbor's dog ran to it. Neighbor stated that her dog then chased the dog back across the street. Both parties were advised of the possible consequences if their dogs continued to run loose. Officers did not see any injuries to either animal and returned to patrol.   Approved
12/14/2019 11:50 PM Non-Injury Crash South Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a non-injury crash.  Upon arrival, Officer met caller and observed her black 2016 Chevy Suburban with functional damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. Officer and caller than re-located to the actual crash location. Caller stated she was unsure of the vehicle or exact location of the crash. Caller advised she was traveling southbound when she swerved to avoid a raccoon or cat in the roadway when she struck a vehicle and immediately headed to the police department. Officers checked the area but were unable to observe any vehicles with damage matching the presumed area nor any vehicle debris in the roadway.  Due to the inability to ensure the crash occurred within Village limits, caller was not issued a citation.    Approved
12/14/2019 8:29 PM Recovered/Found Property West Main St. On the stated date and time, Officer received an anonymous complaint that there was a set of keys in the roadway on West Main Street. The complainant further stated that they were lying next to a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer located a set of keys lying on the road by the driver's door of a blue Honda CRV.  The vehicle was parked on West Main Street at Smith Place. Officer confirmed that the key fob belonged to this vehicle. Officer ensured that the vehicle was secured, left a note on the driver's door, and seized the keys for safekeeping. Officer was able to locate a phone number for the vehicle owner and left a message for vehicle owner to contact Officer.  A short time later, Officers returned the keys to vehicle owner.   Approved

12/14/2019 7:14 PM Traffic Stop West Main St. On the listed date and time, Officers observed a tan GMC Arcadia driving westbound on West Main St. with one headlight out on the front passenger side of the vehicle. Officers performed a traffic stop and made contact with driver.  Driver stated that he did not know his headlight was currently not working. Driver was warned for the headlight. Officers then returned to patrol.   Returned
12/14/2019 7:06 PM Parking Complaint South Chillicothe St. On the listed date and time, Officers observed a disabled brown Honda CRV parked facing southbound on the northbound side of the roadway at the listed location. Officers made contact with vehicle driver who was warned that she can not park on the opposite side of the roadway facing oncoming traffic. Driver then moved her vehicle and Officers returned to patrol.   Returned
12/14/2019 11:43 AM Animal Complaint - Other West Main St. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a stray black lab in their yard there. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised that the dog had been running around in the roadway prior to caller getting it to come up into the yard. Officer took possession of the dog and placed it in the rear seat of the cruiser.  Officer transported the dog to the Plain City Animal Hospital where Officer had them scan the dog for a chip. Officer relayed owner contact information, obtained from the chip, to Dispatch and requested Dispatch make contact.  Dispatch advised they left a message.  Officer transported the dog to the police department where Officer secured the dog in the kennel with food and water. Officer then returned to patrol. Union County Dog Warden was advised in case the dog is not claimed.  A short time later Officer returned the dog to its owner.     Returned
12/14/2019 10:04 AM Criminal Damaging Harrington Dr. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to someone egging their vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller and his wife who advised Officer that around 8 a.m. they noticed that someone had egged their grey 2006 Subaru Tribeca.  Caller advised that he does not know who may have done the egging. Caller requested extra patrol during the overnight hours for the next week. Officer spoke with several neighbors while on the call and none of them witnessed anything. Officer then returned to patrol.   Returned
12/14/2019 1:46 AM Barking Dog Village Blvd. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a barking dog. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subjects and advised them of the noise complaint.  Subjects stated they were dog sitting. Subjects advised they would try to keep the dog quiet. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
12/15/2019 11:51 PM Suspicious Circumstances East First Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious circumstance. Dispatch advised the caller stated she had tracks in the snow who she believed belonged to her ex-husband. Caller advised her ex-husband is not allowed to make contact with her. Caller requested Officer check the area, but did not provide a vehicle description and did not request to meet. Upon arrival, Officer checked the area and did not see anything out of the ordinary. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
12/15/2019 11:30 PM Disabled Vehicle US Rt. 42 N  On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the US42 near N. Chillicothe St. in reference to a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer observed a gray 2018 Toyota Corolla partially in the ditch on the northwest portion of the intersection. Officer made contact with the vehicle's driver/vehicle renter and passenger.  Driver advised he was traveling northbound on N. Chillicothe St. when he attempted to stop at the stop sign located at N. Chillicothe St and US 42 but slid into the intersection due to heavy snow on the roadway. Driver advised he slid into the northwest ditch and was unable to get out. When checking the property and vehicle, it was determined nothing was damaged. Towing company arrived on scene and assisted pulling out the vehicle.  Once occupants continued on their way, Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
12/15/2019 11:04 AM Failure to Pay West Main St. On the listed date and time, Officer responded to Mike's Pit Stop in reference to a failure to pay for fuel.  Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised Officer that a beige Toyota got $25.10 in gas and then left eastbound on Main Street. Officer checked the tag and found it returned to a commercial plate registered to a subject from Columbus. Officer had Dispatch request Columbus Police go to the residence and make contact with the registered owner. Officer then returned to patrol.  CPD later advised Officer the subject had moved from the residence.   Mike's Pit Stop Returned
12/15/2019 12:20 AM Assist Other Agency SR 4  On the stated date and time, Officer was requested by UCSO Deputy to respond to SR 4 near Collins Ave in the City of Marysville for a K9 sniff.  After assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
