Police Report Recap - 12/12/2019

12/12/2019 2:36 AM Recovered Stolen Property Lantern Ln. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of Buggy Whip Ln in reference to several people wearing masks, driving in a silver SUV and breaking into vehicles. Upon arrival, Officer located a silver Ford parked in front of the listed location. With the assistance of Deputies from the Union County Sheriff's Office, Madison County Sheriff's Officer, OSP Troopers, and OSP Aviation Unit.  Officers located Kaveontae Bowens, Mohamed Conde, and two juveniles.  Mohamed Conde was charged with Felony Receiving Stolen Property. Kaveontae Bowens was also charged with Felony Receiving Stolen Property, along with Obstructing Official Business. Mohamed and Kavenotae were both transported to Tri-County Regional Jail. One juvenile was cited for Felony Receiving Stolen Property and Obstructing Official Business.  Juvenile was transported to COYC. The other juvenile was released to his mother and advised charges would be filed at a later date. See case and videos for further.   Pending
12/12/2019 4:37 AM Pursuit Plain City-Georgesville Rd. On the stated date and time, Officer was assisting in an attempt to locate suspects from a recovered stolen vehicle. The suspects had fled on foot. Officers were later advised by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation team that a vehicle was fleeing the area on Lantern Ln and that it turned southbound on South Chillicothe St (Plain City-Georgesville Rd). The vehicle was a black Jeep Cherokee that led Officers on a pursuit on Plain City Georgesville Rd leading to Alkire Rd in Franklin County before Officers discontinued pursuit.  During the pursuit, the vehicle committed several traffic violations.  The Aviation team along with the Columbus Police Department tracked the vehicle to Miller Ave in Columbus where the driver, Tayvion Taylor, was apprehended. Tayvion was charged with Failure to Comply and taken to the Tri-County Jail where he was booked in on the above charge. See case for further.   Pending

12/12/2019 8:05 AM Suspicious Circumstances Red Knot Ct. Complainant called in stating an unknown person rummaged through the vehicle, but nothing was taken.  See OIR 19-1518 for more details.   Pending
12/12/2019 8:10 AM Suspicious Circumstances Lantern Ln. Theft from vehicle - 2 vehicles in driveway rummaged through, change taken.  See OIR 19-1518 for more details.   Pending
12/12/2019 8:20 AM Suspicious Circumstances Ratliff Cir. Caller advised that sometime overnight an unknown person rummaged through both vehicles in the driveway. No loss reported at this time.  See OIR 19-1518   Pending
12/12/2019 3:47 PM Recovered Stolen Property Lantern Ln. On the stated date and time, Officer made contact with complainant in reference to a pink wallet that was located in her front yard. Officer took possession of the wallet and later found the owner.  Owner was a victim of a vehicle theft.  The property was later returned to owner.  See OIR 19-1518 for more details.   Pending

12/12/2019 4:36 PM Theft - Misdemeanor Red Knot Ct. Officer met with complainant in reference to a theft from his vehicle that occurred overnight.  Complainant advised his wallet was later located down the street on Red Knot Ct however his drivers license was missing.  Officer advised complainant to contact the Police Department if he finds any additional items missing.  See OIR 19-1518 for more details.   Pending
12/12/2019 6:13 PM Theft - Misdemeanor Fanshell Dr. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle.  See OIR 19-1518 for more details.   Pending
12/12/2019 8:46 PM Suspicious Circumstances North Ave. Officers responded to the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. The anonymous caller advised they believed they heard a female crying for help. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with 2 subjects.  Both parties advised everything was okay. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Pending
