Upon arrival, Officer met with complaint who advised that he has not received mail at his residence for approximately two weeks. Complainant feels that someone may be stealing his mail. 11/21/2019 | 4:19 PM | Drug Paraphernalia | South Jefferson Ave. | On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a white Honda Accord traveling northbound on South Jefferson Ave near West Ave. the vehicle had its hazard lights activated and the vehicle tail lights/running lights did not appear to be working. Officer observed the vehicle initially slow for the traffic ahead and it did not appear the brake lights were working properly. The vehicle registration returned to a non-valid driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Chris Brookman. Officer had K-9 Andor complete an open-air narcotic sniff of the vehicle. K9 Andor gave positive Alert/ Final response near the front passenger door. Chris was read his Miranda rights. During a probable cause search of the vehicle Officer located drug paraphernalia. Under the driver seat Officer located a black BB gun that resembled a real firearm/handgun. Officer spoke with Chris about the items located in the vehicle. Chris advised the items did not belong to him however acknowledged the typical use for the items. Chris was later issued a traffic citation for no tail lights and a criminal summons for drug paraphernalia. | Pending | |

Upon arrival, Officer met with UCDOJFS officials. During the standby, grandmother was upset and hostile and cursed at the UCDOJFS officials. Grandmother was warned for her behavior. Officer stood by until UCDOJFS officials left with the children. | Returned |
