10/18/2019 4:26 PM Drugs - Other Friend St. Officer met with complainant at the Police department. Complainant drives the bus for Jonathan Alder Schools. This afternoon, around 1345, an elementary student gave complainant a vape cartridge. Complainant believed it to be THC oil and wanted to turn it into the police department. Officer seized the item and advised complainant that Officer would destroy it. Officer then returned to patrol. Plain City Police Department Approved
10/18/2019 4:03 PM Suspicious Circumstances West Main St. Officer was dispatched to the area of Willow & Twine on West Main Street in reference to an unknown subject wearing a black hooded robe and a scary mask. Upon arrival, Officer did not locate anyone matching that description. Officer checked the surrounding area and did not locate the subject. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
10/18/2019 3:39 PM Recovered/Found Property East Bigelow Ave. Officer was dispatched to East Bigelow Avenue near Church Street on the report of syringe lying beside the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller. Caller showed Officer where the syringe was located. Officer took possession of the syringe and transported it to Station 261 where it was disposed of in their sharps container. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
10/19/2019 4:25 PM Theft - Felony Murlay Dr. Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant who advised Officer that he received a text from the bank of two suspicious transactions from an ATM. Complainant advised Officer that he still had his ATM card in his possession. See case for further information.   Approved
10/19/2019 2:54 PM Theft - Felony West Second Ave. Officer met with complainant at complainant's residence in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, complainant advised Officer that her ATM card number was used at the Village Pantry in Bellefontaine. Complainant advised Officer that she still has her card in her possession and has never been to that location. See case for further information.   Approved
10/19/2019 11:42 AM Forgery West Main St. Officer was dispatched to the Richwood Bank in reference to a female that had attempted to cash a fraudulent check. Dispatch advised that the female left while they were calling the police leaving behind her Ohio identification card. The caller advised dispatch that the female known as Mandy Halterman got into a black Cadillac Escalade on the lot of McDonald's.  Officer located the Cadillac as it was leaving McDonald's.  Officer stopped the vehicle and learned the suspect Mandy Halterman was in the third-row seat. Officer placed Mandy in administrative custody in the rear seat of Officer's vehicle. Officer then spoke with manager at the Scheiderer Transport where the check was supposedly written. Manager confirmed the check was fraudulent and advised he still has the check number in the business checkbook. Mandy was placed in custody for Forgery (ORC#2913.31a3) and transported to the Police Department. Mandy was issued the charge and transported to Tri-County Jail where she was released to their custody without incident.
