Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an ill person. Upon arrival, Officer met with subject, who was sitting in her vehicle. Upon speaking with her, she appeared to be disoriented. Officer made contact with the Dublin Police Department and obtained a phone number for subject’s brother. Officer made contact with subject’s brother, via public service and advised him of the situation. Officer requested that he come to the scene and retrieve subject’s vehicle because she was going to be transported to the hospital. Subject’s brother arrived a short time later and took possession of the vehicle.  A CIT Report has been completed.

Driving Complaint

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer responded to the area of US 42 and SR 736 in reference to a driving complaint. Upon arrival, Officer located and initiated a traffic stop with the blue Chrysler on the lot of the listed location. Officer made contact with the vehicle's driver and advised him of the complaint. Officer advised subject to make sure he abides by all traffic laws and warned him of the consequences if his actions continued. Officer then returned to patrol.

Failure to Pay

West Main St.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the business owner who stated that a black Mazda driven by a female pumped approximately $25.00 in gas and left without paying. Officer was able to identify the vehicle owner by the license plate.  Officer requested Columbus Police Department make contact with subject at her residence. A short time later Officer was contacted by subject via public service stating that she thought her debit card swiped but that she would contact the business to arrange payment. A short time later, Officer confirmed with the business that the payment was received. Officer then returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint

Coachman Dr.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The caller stated that a camper had been parked in front of the listed location for some time and it appeared someone may have been staying in it. Upon arrival, Officer observed the camper parked in front of the listed location with several electrical cords running into it. Officer made contact with its owner and advised her of the complaint. Officer advised the owner that the vehicle could not be left there and that it would need to be moved. She stated that she understood and would have the vehicle move by 04-18-2019.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the UCSO to respond to the listed location for a K9 Sniff.  After assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

Recovered/Found Property

Friend St.

While at the police department, a subject dropped off a license plate that was found on SR 161(unknown exact location). Officer made contact with the Worthington Police Department and requested that they make contact with the owner and advise him of the license plate. A few minutes later, owner contacted the police department and was advised on how to retrieve his plate.  1430 Hours-Officer returned the license plate to owner.

Animal Complaint - Other

West Ave.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a found canine. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant, who advised she found the canine in front of her house and did not know who it belonged to. Officer brought the canine back to the police department where it was placed in the kennel. Officer was able to identify the canine owner by the dog license.  Officer contacted canine owner via public service.  Canine owner retrieved the dog later that afternoon.
