During a traffic stop for a traffic violation, officer observed the passenger was highly intoxicated and observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, an open container of alcohol, marijuana and other paraphernalia was located. Subsequently, the passenger, Jason Hall, 19, of Marysville was issued citations for Open Container and Underage Consumption. The driver, Brody Overbey, 19, of Marysville, was issued citations for Possessing Marijuana, Marijuana Paraphernalia and Marked Lanes.

Officer responded on a parking complaint, contact was made with the owner, who moved the vehicle without incident.

Traffic Stop

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer responded on a report of an open container in a vehicle. Officer smelled a faint odor of alcohol on the driver and conducted field sobriety tests and it was determined the driver was not impaired. The driver, James Cox, 61, of London, has a suspended license. Subsequently, James, was issued citations for No Valid OL, BMV 12, Suspension and OVI Suspension and Open Container. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.

Officer responded on the report of potential drug usage. Officer made contact with someone at the alleged offender's apartment, but was unable to confirm any drug activity.

Officers were requested to assist the Union County Sheriff's Office with a K9 Assist. K9 Andor completed an open air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert for narcotics.

Drunk Driver

South Jefferson Ave.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle with no tail lights. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer could detect an odor of alcohol. After further investigation, Joseph Evans, 19, of Johnstown, was arrested for OVI and admitted to having Marijuana on him. Joseph submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in 0.019% BAC. Joseph was issued citations for OVI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Underage Consumption and Tail Light Required. He was released to a friend.

Traffic Stop

West Ave.

Officer initiated a traffic stop with a four-wheeler traveling West Ave. The driver was advised he was not permitted to drive a four-wheeler on the roadway. Subsequently, Andrew Wachter, 19, was issued a citation for the violation. During the traffic stop, a truck pulled up, contact was made with the driver who advised he was following Andrew home. The driver was a minor and contact was made with his mother. He was warned for a curfew violation.  The truck hauled the four wheeler to Andrew's home.
