Open Container

South Jefferson Ave.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle for speeding. During the stop, officer observed an open container of alcohol, that was half full. The driver had a suspended driver's license. Subsequently, Jose Gil-Pereda, 28, of Hilliard, was arrested and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail. Jose was charged with No Valid OL, OVI/Physical Control Suspension, Speed and Open Container. The vehicle was towed to the police Impound Lot.

Well-being Check

Officer responded on a well-being check, made contact with the individual, who advised everything was fine.

Behavioral Health

North Ave.

Officers responded to a possible behavioral health issue. After speaking with the individual, it was determined the individual was not a threat to herself or anyone else. After determining everything to be fine, officers returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

South Chillicothe St.

Officers responded on a non-injury crash at the intersection of East Bigelow Avenue and South Chillicothe Street involving three vehicles.  A black Infiniti was attempting to turn onto South Chillicothe, when they failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Subsequently, Greta Cray, 42, of Plain City, was cited for Failure to Yield when turning left. Two of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Officer responded on a well-being check, made contact with the individuals, who advised everything was fine.

Civil Dispute/Standby

Converse Ave.

Officer was requested for a civil standby while a tenant gathered her belongings. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
