A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with a suspended driver. Subsequently, Gary Thomas, 65, of Plain City, was issued citations for OVI Suspension and no Valid OL and the vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound lot.

Officer responded on a report of fireworks. Once in the area the officer did not hear or observe any.

West Main St.

Officers responded on a complaint of loud music. The business was notified of the complaint and turned down the music. Officers determined the noise was not excessive.

Officers responded to a male who was intoxicated and laying in the grass. Upon arrival, officers found a male subject in the grass and could detect a strong odor of alcohol. Subsequently, Officers transported the male to his residence, where he was released to a family member. Andrew Dewitt, 40, of Plain City, was issued a summons for Disorderly Conduct.

Animal Complaint - Other

Village Blvd.

Officer responded in reference to a found canine and took possession of it. A short time later, the owner came to the police station to retrieve the canine and was verbally warned for dogs running at large.

Officer responded on a complaint of fireworks. Upon arrival, officer located the person setting off the fireworks and he was given a verbal warning for fireworks inside the Village limits. Once the fireworks stopped, officer returned to patrol

Officers responded on a complaint of a neighbor dispute. All parties agreed to separate for the evening. Once everything was determined fine, officers returned to patrol.

Officer responded on a complaint of a stolen grey and red Craftsman lawn mower. A report was taken.

Officer responded on a report of a found credit card, took possession of the credit card and contacted the owner. The owner of the credit card requested the officer shred the card.

Officer responded on a complaint of child custody issues. Officer advised it was a civil matter and an incident report was taken.

Officer responded on a complaint of loud music. Upon arrival, officer could hear the music, made contact with the homeowner, who advised she would turn the music off. Once it was quiet, the officer returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to assist with translation during an investigation interview. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.

Driving Complaint

North Chillicothe St.

Officer responded on a driving complaint, of a known suspect driving a red truck, throwing firecrackers from the moving vehicle, which hit another vehicle. Both vehicles had left the area before the officer arrived. Officer made contact with the subject and a verbal warning was given for fireworks and possible charges if damage was done to the other vehicle.

Officer responded on a metal box with a red light flashing. A keyholder was contacted, advised it was a private septic system and stated he would deal with it the next day. After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

A found cellphone was turned into an officer. A short time later the owner of the phone, met with the officer and the phone was returned to the owner.

Officer responded on a report of attempted suicide. After further investigation, the patient was transported to a medical facility. After determining everything to be okay, officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded on a report of a found wallet, took possession of the wallet. Contact was made with the owner of the wallet, who later came to the police department and retrieved it.

Officer responded on a complaint of someone throwing fireworks at children. Upon further investigation, a subject was setting fireworks off at a campsite but denied throwing them at anyone. The subject was given a verbal warning for disorderly conduct and lighting off fireworks in the village limits.
