Officer was dispatched to Lovejoy's Market in reference to a suspicious male. Upon arrival Officer located the male sitting alongside the listed street. After speaking with the male, Officer learned he was homeless and was trying to walk to Pennsylvania. Officer transported the male to the Police Department and obtained a housing voucher. The male was also given a box lunch from St. Joseph Catholic Church, then transported to the American Inn.

Officer was flagged down by complainant. He advised that everyday there is a boy in the neighborhood that runs with a large black dog. He was concerned because the dog was never on a leash. Officer made contact with dog owner and advised him of the complaint. He advised that his son takes the dog for a run around the neighborhood but that the dog is trained and wears a shock collar. Officer advised that it was required that the dog be under control at all times and of the possible consequences if there were issues with the dog. Officer also reminded him to police any dog excrement from his dog when out in the neighborhood.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a ran Dodge Caravan. Officer then initiated a traffic.  Rose Mary Webb, was subsequently issued a citation for No Valid Operator’s License also In State Drug Suspension and charged criminally with Illegal Use or Possession of Marihuana Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer responded to the listed location on a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officer met with the complainant, who is an employee of the business. She advised that she and her husband followed her to the business and confronted her about their child because she did not go to preschool this morning. Officer told him that he needed to address visitation with their child through his attorney and through the courts. The male advised that he would leave and not bother the employee any further.

An individual turned in a wallet that he found in front of his residence. Officer later made contact with the property owner and returned the wallet.

Officer responded to the listed location on the report of a loose dog running in the area. Upon arrival, Officer met with employees who advised that they were concerned that the dog was going to run into the road and get struck by a car. Officer gave brief chase before the dog ran away. Officer was unable to locate the dog after that. The dog was medium sized and was white with black/brown spots.

Officer was met on station by an individual requesting a civil standby. Upon arrival, Officer stood by while he and his father removed his property and dropped off a civil paper, the resident signed for the landlord. After the standby was complete and they left the scene, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the area of the swing sets at the north entrance of Pastime Park in reference to a man yelling. Upon arrival Officer met with subject who was swinging and singing and advised of the complaint. He apologized and advised that he did not know that he was singing that loud.

Officer assisted Union County Sheriff's Deputy in attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the listed location. Officers determined that the subject no longer lived at the address.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a white Dodge Neon that was parked in front of the listed location. Registration returned to a black Kia.  Due to the registration issue and the vehicle being parked partially on the roadway, the vehicle was towed.

Officer met with a juvenile at the listed location due to her being dropped off for school without knowing there was a two-hour delay due to the heavy fog. Upon speaking with the child and a teacher who arrived to work early, Officer and teacher were able to contact the child's grandmother, who came to pick her up. Officer determined everything to be fine.

Officer observed two cars pulled off to the side of the roadway. Officer made contact with the drivers of the vehicles, who advised that Jenna Campbell had pulled from the stop sign and drove into the side of the other driver. Jenna Campbell was issued a citation for Failure to Yield from a Stop Sign.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an injury accident. Upon arrival, Officer observed three vehicles with damage. After investigation, Cynthia Phipps was subsequently issued a citation for Assured Clear Distance Ahead and Expired License.

Officer was dispatched to the location in reference to a vehicle roll-over accident. Upon arrival, Officer observed a copper Jeep on its driver's side in the front yard. Austin Reinhard was subsequently issued a citation for Failure to Control.

Officer responded to the listed location on the report of two loose dogs behind the business. With assistance, Officers were able to capture both dogs and secure them in our kennel. The Union County Dog Warden was contacted and picked the dogs up a short while later.

Officer was requested to conduct a well-being check at the listed location. Officer attempted to make contact at the residence, but nobody answered the door. Officer called the daughter back. She said she would call back if she needed any further assistance.

Officer responded to the listed location with backup on the report of suicide threats. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the individual. She advised that she did not want to harm herself, but that she did want to talk with someone about her thoughts and depression. She agreed to go voluntarily with Medic 261 to the hospital to be evaluated.

Officers were advised of a loose dog found at the listed location. Officer then retrieved the dog and returned it to its owner at her residence. She was advised of the possible consequences if the dog continued to get loose. She thanked the Officers for their time.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the juvenile and his mother. Officer spoke with the juvenile, who advised he is having trouble controlling his anger. He agreed to listen to his mother and was advised of ways to control his anger. After all parties were calm, Officer determined everything to be fine.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Upon arrival Officer made contact with several residents in the area but no one had made the call. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle
East Main St.
Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The caller stated that a blue Dodge truck had been parked in the same spot for approximately 24 hours. Upon arrival Officer made contact with involved parties and with both juvenile's parents. Both stated that their daughters had permission to be at the location and that they had not been there overnight. Officer determined everything checked okay.
