A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with expired registration. Contact was made with the driver, who admitted to having drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, drug paraphernalia, a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance and another plastic bag containing a brown/tan crystal/rock like substance was found. The driver, Audra Pickett, 38, of Plain City, was issued a criminal summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was given a verbal warning for the registration violation.

Officer observed a vehicle parked at the listed location after hours. Contact was made with the driver, who stated she pulled over to use her phone.

Officer responded on a report of a possible domestic dispute. After further investigation, it was learned to be a verbal dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Parties agreed to remain calm.

Officers responded on a complaint of a subject smoking marijuana in a parked vehicle. Upon approach, the officers could smell the odor of raw marijuana. Contact was made with the driver, who admitted to smoking marijuana. During a probable cause search, drug paraphernalia and marijuana was found. Subsequently, Daniel Haynes, 24, of Plain City, was issued criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana and Marijuana Paraphernalia. It was learned that Daniel had an active warrant out of Franklin County. He was arrested and released to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle, whose registered owner had an expired driver's license. Officer approached the vehicle and the registered owner was in the passenger seat however, not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the vehicle was a valid driver. A verbal warning was given for the seatbelt violation.

Drunk Driver

Officers responded on a report of a possible hit skip crash. A witness saw a red truck strike a tree and caused several tire ruts in a yard. A short time later the vehicle and driver were located and the driver admitted to being intoxicated. Subsequently, Eric Allegree, 40, of Plain City, was placed into custody and transported to the police department. He refused to submit to a breath test. Eric was issued citations for OVI, Hit Skip and Reasonable Control. He was released to a family member.

Officer responded on a complaint of a loose canine, took possession of the canine and a short time later returned the canine to the owner. The owner was given a verbal warning for her dog running at large.

Officers responded on a report of a male not breathing. Upon arrival with Station 261, a 65 year old male, was found deceased. The Madison County Coroner was notified.
