Officer responded on a complaint of juveniles possibly being in a construction area. Officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate the juveniles. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded on a possible theft report of personal items. An incident report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

Animal Complaint - Other

North Ave.

Officer responded on a complaint of a loose canine, took possession of the dog and transported it back to the department. A short time later, the Union County Dog Warden, arrived on scene and transported the dog to the Union County Humane Society.

Officer responded on a report of a semi that had driven through a resident's yard. The caller provided the semi's information. An investigation is ongoing.

Officer found a door unsecured after hours, checked the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The door was secured and a note was left.

Traffic Stop

West Main St.

Officer observed a traffic violation on a Chevrolet Malibu and completed a traffic stop. Subsequently, Shaunda Fairchild, 23, of London, who is a suspended driver, was cited for a Red Light Violation, Driving without a license and Driving under OVI Suspension. The vehicle was towed to the PD Impound Lot.

Assist Other Agency

US Rt. 33

Officer was requested to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol on US 33 for a K9 Assist. K9 Andor completed an open air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert for narcotics. Once the officers were no longer needed, they returned to patrol.

Drugs - Other

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. During the stop, K9 Andor completed an open air sniff of the vehicle, gave a positive alert to narcotics and a probable cause search was conducted, Subsequently, Christopher Riley, 36, of Plain City, was cited for Possession of Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia. He was also given a warning for failure to transfer vehicle registration.
