North Ave.

Officers responded on a suspicious person(s) complaint, of an unknown male and female hanging around the dumpster area. Officers made contact with the subjects. The male initially gave officers fake information due to having a warrant out of Madison County. Subsequently, Dereck Meddock, 38, of Sabina, OH, was arrested for the outstanding warrant and charged with Falsification. He was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.

Theft/Identity

Warrenton Dr.

Officer responded on a complaint of a possible identity theft. The caller advised, an application for an account with Bank of America had been filed in his name, without his knowledge. He advised he filed a complaint with the FTC and needed a police report. An incident report was taken.

East Main St.

Officer found the front door open, searched the building and didn't observe anything out of the ordinary. The door was unable to be secured. A keyholder was contacted and advised he wasn't responding and would check the building at a later time.

Officer found a door unsecured after hours, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.
