Domestic Violence - Misdemeanor

North Ave.

Officers responded on a report of an inactive domestic assault. After further investigation, Shane Barker, 26, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence and was transported to Tri County Regional Jail. A report was forwarded to Madison County Job and Family Services, due to children being present.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

North Chillicothe St.

Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle being parked at a reserved campsite. Contact was made with the occupant, who advised he thought the spot was empty. The vehicle was moved without incident.

Solicitor

South Chillicothe St.

Officer responded on a complaint of a Solicitor. After further investigation, the individual was with the homeowners current utility company. After determining everything to be fine and no laws were broken, the officer returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

East Main St.

Officer observed a dump truck strike a vehicle stopped at a red light. Subsequently, Norman Sears, 50, of Thornville, was issued a citation for Reasonable Control 333.08a and Overweight Use of Local Streets 339.02a.

East Main St.

Officers responded to a complaint of threatening messages being received. After further investigation, the incident happened outside of our jurisdiction and was forwarded to the Columbus Police Department.

Animal Complaint - Other

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer responded to two loose canine's around the listed location. The officer attempted to catch the canine's but was unable to. A short time later, the owner arrived and retrieved her canines. A report was forwarded to the Madison County Dog Warden due to the animals residing outside of the Village limits.
