Officers were dispatched in reference to a well-being check. Upon arrival, officers found a 55 year old man deceased. The Madison County Coroner was notified.

Failure to Pay

Officer responded in reference to a drive off/failure to pay. Information on the vehicle and the driver was obtained and the person was contacted. The issue was resolved between the business owner and the driver. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

Fairfield Dr.

Officer was made aware of a confirmed arrest warrant out of Clark County for Terrie Hawkins. Officer made contact with Terrie and she was placed into custody without incident. A Clark County Deputy met with the officer and took custody of Hawkins.

Madison Square Apartments

Civil Dispute/Standby

Fairfield Dr.

Officer responded in reference to a civil standby while an individual retrieved property from the location. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.

Officer responded in reference to a disable vehicle. Officer arrived on scene and contacted a tow truck and stood by until the truck arrived. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.

Officers responded in reference to a domestic dispute between family members. Parties were separated until they were calm. Once the situation was under control and parties were calm, officers returned to patrol.

Officer observed damage to one of the police cruisers which was determined to be caused by a snow mound.

Non-Injury Crash/Private

Village Blvd.

Officer was dispatched in regards to a private property non-injury crash, where several pieces of equipment were damaged. The driver and vehicle were located. The vehicle also sustained damage. An incident report was taken.

Traffic Stop

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a Silver Lincoln Zephvr. Subsequently, the driver, Casey Stebbins, 30, of Greenfield, IN was issued traffic citations for driving under a non-compliance suspension, no operator’s license, no turn signal and fictitious registration. His vehicle was towed to the impound lot by Kirby’s towing.

Officers were dispatched to a potential domestic dispute. Both parties advised they were in a verbal argument and denied any assault occurred nor did it appear so. Once the parties were calm, officers returned to patrol.

Officer observed two vehicles parked in a no parking zone. Contact was made with the vehicle owners and they were moved them without incident.

Officer observed a vehicle parked facing northbound in the sound bound lane.  Contact was made with the owner, he was warned for the violation and the vehicle was moved without incident.

Officer observed two vehicles parked in a no parking zone. Contact was made with the vehicle owners, who  moved the cars without incident. Both were verbally warned for the parking violation.

Open Door

South Jefferson Ave.

Officers found a door unsecured after hours. Upon searching the building, nothing was out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.
