Suspicious Circumstances

West Bigelow Ave.

Officer responded in reference to suspicious circumstances. The complainant advised, he noticed the rear door was slightly opened but locked, he checked the residence and nothing appeared disturbed. A small shoe print at the bottom of the door, was found, but no signs of damage. Officer canvassed the area but located nothing out of the ordinary.

Traffic Stop

West Main St.

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Cobalt with only 1 working headlight and expired registration. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana.  The driver admitted to smoking marijuana earlier and advised that there may be paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted however, no contraband was located. Subsequently, Brandy Rayburn, 37, of Plain City, was issued a citation for Expired Tags and given a warning for the headlight violation. The vehicle was towed to the Plain City Impound Lot.

Civil Dispute/Standby

East Main St.

Officer was requested for a civil standby at the listed location. An individual was attempting to retrieve some property but the home owner wasn't home. Once the officers was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.

Suspicious Circumstances

Fairfield Dr.

Officer observed a door on a maroon Kia Sorento open. Contact was made contact with the owner, who advised it was left open accidentally and nothing appeared to be missing. Once the door was secured, officer returned to patrol.
