Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a female customer accusing an employee of stealing her debit card. Upon arrival, Officer met with the subject who was standing in front of the store. Officer requested subject to check her pockets since it appeared the card was in subject’s pocket. Subject then located the card in her left front pocket.  Officer then advised subject that the Dollar General does not want her back at the business. Subject advised she understood and would never come back. While speaking with subject, subject’s husband arrived at the Dollar General who advised he believes that subject is having paranoid schizophrenia and is working on getting subject into a doctor for the issues. Officer confirmed with subject’s husband that subject is not allowed on the property of the Dollar General. Subject’s husband advised he understood and would remind subject. Officer then returned to patrol.

Animal Complaint - Other

North Ave.

Officer was advised of a loose dog in the area of the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant who had a yellow lab. Officer recognized the dog and called the owner who came to retrieve the dog. There was another dog that was reportedly loose in the area at the same time, but Officer was unable to locate that dog. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.  Note: Dog owner was warned for letting his dog run at large.

West Main St.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location on the report of a dead cat being left on the front porch of the residence. Upon arrival, Officer located the cat in a plastic bag on the porch. Officer walked around the residence but did not locate anything out of the ordinary. Shortly thereafter, the resident arrived who requested Officer walk through the residence with her.  Officer found it to be fine. It is unknown why the cat was placed on the porch, but it is speculated that maybe it was struck by a car and left there. Resident advised that they do not have a cat and resident does not know who it belongs to. Resident said she would dispose of the cat and Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location to assist the Union County Sheriff's Office on an alarm drop. Officer advised UCSO of Officer’s findings and returned to patrol.
