Officer observed a small dog running in the alleyway beside the listed location. Officer secured the dog in his vehicle and transported it to the Police Department. Officer made contact with the dog’s owner.  Officer warned dog owner of the possible consequences if the dog continued to escape. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a white Kia sedan and learned the registered owner, Michael Bates, had an entered (confirmed) warrant out of Grove City Police Department for Theft. Michael was then transported to Get-Go gas station and picked up by Grove City Police. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was met on station by complainant who advised that he has received "hundreds" of text messages and phone calls from his ex-girlfriend.  Complainant requested that Officer contact her and tell her to stop or he would file telephone harassment charges.  Officer made contact with ex-girlfriend via phone and advised her of the complaint. Officer advised ex-girlfriend he would contact complainant to try to make arrangements for an exchange of property.

Officer checked on the outside pets and found they had food and water. Officer left his business card on the door and returned to patrol.  At 1634 hours, Officer received a return call from the resident.  He advised Officer that he still lives there and his pets are well taken care of.

Obstruction of Official Business

Officer observed a blue and white Yamaha dirt bike traveling westbound on West Ave.  Officer located the vehicle and the driver, Bryce Potts behind the listed address.  Officer than made contact with Bryce’s mother, Isabel Fields.  Officer advised Isabel he needed to make contact with Bryce and the dirt bike was being impounded. Isabel was charged for Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Official Business and was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail where she was booked in for the above charges. Officer was unable to make contact with Bryce. A warrant for Obstructing Official Business was submitted to the courts and traffic citations for OVI Suspension, No Valid OL, Reckless Operation, Driving an Unsafe Vehicle, FRA Suspension, and no turn Signal were submitted to the courts for Bryce. All parties advised there was a verbal dispute due to one of the subjects staying at the residence.  Subject then advised he would voluntarily leave with his belongings. Officer was conducting a follow-up at the listed location when Officer observed Bryce Potts and another subject on the back porch of the listed location. Bryce was placed into custody for outstanding warrants out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for Probation Violation, Obstructing Official Business, No Valid OL, Reckless Operation, No Turn Signal, FRA Suspension, Unsafe Vehicle, and OVI Suspension. Officer was dispatched to Plain City Elementary School in reference to motorcycle that had been parked in the front parking lot for an extended period of time. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who advised that his motorcycle was broken down and that he had called a friend to bring a trailer in order to haul the motorcycle to his residence. While Officer was on scene, the friend arrived with the trailer. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.
