8/14/2017	9:40 AM	911 Follow-up	North Chillicothe St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location on a 911 Follow-up. The caller advised that there was no actual emergency and apologized. He said he has a Smartphone and he didn't know that pushing the emergency call button was going to call 911. Officer determined everything to be fine.	Pastime Park
8/14/2017	1:30 PM	Theft/Identity	South Chillicothe St.	Officer met with the resident at the Police Department in reference to identity theft. The resident stated that he contacted the company and learned that the personal information that was used in opening the account was not his. He advised that he is disputing the collection and trying to get it removed from his credit report. A police report to document that the fraud/identity theft was reported.
8/14/2017	3:10 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	Friend St.	The resident came to the Police Department and requested Officer speak with his juvenile son in reference to a theft incident. Officer advised the son the importance of paying for items before you take them. The juvenile promised not to take any items without paying in the future.	Plain City Police Department
8/14/2017	4:24 PM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	West Main St.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a green Ford Focus. The driver was given a verbal warning for expired registration. The passenger, James Darrah was placed into custody for a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
8/14/2017	9:15 PM	Assist Other Agency	Lantern Ln.	Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper requested Officer go to the listed location with him to speak with the residents. Upon arrival, Officers advised the resident that his son has been using his other son’s identity. The resident confirmed that the son that was the victim hasn’t been in Ohio.

8/15/2017	9:33 AM	Road Hazard	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location regarding an object lying in the intersection. Upon arrival, Officer noticed a water main cover dislodged and sitting in the road. Officer replaced the cover and also advised the Public Works Superintendent of the incident.
8/15/2017	8:55 PM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 N	Officer received a direct report referring to found property. On Madison County Sheriff's Office behalf, Officer was able to make contact with property owner who later arrived at the police department to retrieve it.
8/15/2017	7:42 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	West Main St.	Officer received a direct complaint from a resident in reference to securing his residence at the listed location. After investigation, the item had been located and no theft had occurred. Officer advised the resident to be more vigilant prior to filing a police report.
8/15/2017	3:17 PM	Driving Complaint	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a driving complaint. Officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. After investigation, driver showed no signs of impairment. Officer advised him to focus more on driving in the future.
8/15/2017	8:22 AM	Parking Complaint	East Main St.	Officer spoke to a resident who advised that a semi truck and trailer had been parked in front of her house for a couple days and due to where it was parked, it made it very difficult for her to see to get out of her driveway. The truck was moved a short time later.
8/15/2017	3:56 PM	Non-Injury Crash	Gray St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a non-injury crash. Joshua McKenzie was issued a citation for Starting and Backing. The owner of the parked vehicle was later contacted and advised of the crash.
8/16/2017	6:22 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	West First Ave.	Officer received a direct complaint of a missing canine near the listed location. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate the canine. A short time later, the caller advised that she found her dog.
8/16/2017	8:09 PM	Road Hazard	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer observed a water main cover in the roadway. Officer placed it back over the water main. Officer made contact previously with the Public Works Superintendent in regards to securing the cover.

8/16/2017	11:40 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	Cottonwood Ct.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle. After investigation, Officer confirmed with the resident that the man was indeed a house inspector.

8/16/2017	3:51 PM	Suspicious Person	SR 161 E	Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a suspicious person. Officer met with the male walking along the roadway. He stated that he was walking from Terra Haute, IN to Columbus, OH. Due to the heat, Officer gave the male a ride to the Wendy’s restaurant located on State Route 161.

Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller, who advised her ten year old daughter was refusing to go to school. After speaking with the daughter, she agreed to get ready and go to school.
8/17/2017	7:47 AM	Driving Complaint	Lafayette-Plain City Rd.	Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a driving complaint. Union County Sheriff's Office requested Officer to go to the listed location and make contact with the parties. After speaking with both parties, Officer advised to use better judgment and to not to confront anyone in their driveway. All parties separated.

8/18/2017	11:27 PM	Unruly	Carriage Dr.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile. After speaking with the caller, Officer made contact with the juvenile who stated that he was at his father's residence. Officer confirmed this with the father. The caller was advised of the proper steps to pursue with unruly charges. The caller stated that she was also concerned because her other son should have returned home from work. Officer went to the son's place of employment and learned that the caller's son was no longer at work. Officer made contact with the caller who stated that she had made contact with her son and that everything was okay.
8/18/2017	6:10 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	West Main St.	Officer was met at the Police Department by the complainant who advised that her neighbor had picked up her daughter from the bus stop without permission. 8/19/2017	1:31 AM	Disabled Vehicle	SR 161 E	Officer was flagged down and advised of a disabled motorcycle. Upon arrival, Officer located the rider who was pushing a black 1997 Buell motorcycle. Officer provided assistance until the motorcycle was no longer a safety hazard.

After speaking with the resident, Medic 261 arrived on the scene and the resident was voluntarily transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
