Officer was dispatched to a reported kidnapping. The caller advised that a male had taken off with her 12 year-old daughter in a maroon Nissan van. Officer located the vehicle and upon the vehicle coming to a stop the daughter exited the vehicle and saying she was fine. Officer issued the male juvenile a citation for no Operator's License and released him and the vehicle to his father. The father was advised that a curfew Charge and possible Contributing Charge would be filed.

Failure to Pay

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a failure to pay. Dispatch advised a green Chevrolet SUV got twelve dollars worth of gas and did not pay. Dispatch made contact with the driver, who advised she thought her card went through, and would meet at the location. Upon arrival the driver apologized and paid the amount owed.

Suspicious Circumstances

Officer was on patrol and observed the interior light on the inside of a silver Acura parked in front of the listed location. Officer made contact with the vehicle owner and advised her about the light. She thanked the Officer then turned off the light.

Officer observed a white Lexus RX450 parked in front of the listed location. The vehicle was not in a marked parking spot and was in front of a painted yellow curb. The driver was issued a Parking Infraction.

Traffic Stop

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a green Chevy Malibu. Officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver/owner. Quentin Snodgres was issued a citation for No Ohio License, a Non Compliance Suspension and Failure to Reinstate.

Domestic Dispute
SR 161 E
Officers met with the complainant at the police department in reference to a domestic dispute. He advised us that he was driving into Plain City from his residence and he got into a verbal altercation in the vehicle with his mother. Officers were able to get both parties to agree to stay calm and the complainant also agreed to take his mother home. Officers determined everything to be fine.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. Upon arrival, Officers met with involved parties. The father picked up his son without any issues. Officers determined everything to be fine.

Animal Complaint - Other
North Ave.
Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. The complainant stated that there was a canine inside a pickup. They further advised that the owner was going to leave the canine inside the truck overnight. Upon arrival, Officers observed a small brown canine inside a 2002 tan Chevrolet Silverado. The canine showed no signs of distress and it was cool outside. Officers made contact with the owner, and he advised that he would bring the canine inside for the night. Officers determined everything to be fine.

Officers observed a tan Chevrolet Astro parked at the listed location. Officer made contact with Anastasia Howard and two other individuals. Anastasia Howard was subsequently charged with three counts of Drug Paraphernalia.

Parking Complaint

Officer met with the complainant at the Police Department in reference to a parking complaint. He advised that there are a couple of semi trailers that have been stored on a location he owns for quite some time, but they need to be moved because he is working on developing the property. Officer was able to make contact with the owner and he said he would contact the complainant about the trailers.

Animal Complaint - Other
Converse Dr.
Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. The caller stated that he witnessed his neighbor lift his dog and throw it back to the ground. Upon arrival Officer checked the dog but was unable to locate any injuries. The dog also had access to food and water. While speaking with the neighbors mother, he returned home and the Officer advised of the complaint. He stated that the only time he lifted the dog was when it was wrapped around the leash. Officer advised that due to the complaint and the dog not being registered a copy of the incident report will be forwarded to the Union County Dog Warden.

Officer was at the listed location when advised of a bad check. An employee stated a check, in the amount of $37.82, was written on July 23rd, 2016 and came back as not sufficient funds. Officer has attempted to make contact with the owner of the check but she has not been reached. Investigation still pending.

Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the caller. He apologized and stated that he accidently pocket dialed 911. Officers determined everything checked okay.

While on routine patrol Officers observed a black Toyota parked on the south side of the stables at the listed location. Upon closer inspection, we observed a male and female sit up abruptly from the back seat. Officers made contact with the juveniles’ parents and advised them of the incident. Both subjects were warned for their actions. Officers determined everything to be fine.

Officer observed a red Honda Civic parked on the lot of the listed location. Officer made contact with the driver, who stated that she had a flat tire and pulled in the parking lot to wait for a ride. She stated that she did not have a spare and would most likely leave the vehicle there overnight. Officer determined everything to be fine.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle on the street for several days. Upon arrival Officer observed a 2004 tan Honda Odyssey was legally parked in front of the residence. Officer made contact with the vehicle owner who advised they park it on Lantern Lane when there is no other available parking.

Officer was dispatched to the parking lot on listed street in reference to a canine that was locked in a red SUV. Upon arrival, Officer observed a large canine sitting on the front passenger seat of a red Chevrolet Traverse. The canine abruptly got up and showed no signs of distress. Officer determined everything to be fine. Officer checked a short time later and the vehicle was gone.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. The caller stated that a male subject was sitting on the swing set talking to himself and periodically yelling out profanity. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the subject, who stated that he was talking to himself and did not realize anyone could hear him. Officer warned him of the possible consequences if his actions continued.

Officer observed two subjects take off running west on Bigelow Avenue. Officer located one of the subjects hiding behind the garage. Officer transported the juvenile to his residence. Upon arrival at his residence, Officer made contact with the juvenile's father and advised he would receive notice for when the juvenile needed to appear in court for a curfew violation.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a criminal damaging. Upon arrival Officer met with complainant. He advised that 3 juveniles stood in the street and threw eggs at his residence, striking the front porch area and a window about the garage. The complainant was able to wash the egg from the residence but wanted the police department to know about the incident.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller. She advised that she had recently discovered that her ATM card was missing and that someone had made two unauthorized transactions totaling approximately $180. A case is pending more information on this matter.
