Driving Complaint

US Rt. 42 S

Officer responded on a driving complaint. Contact was made with the driver, who advised the car was not operating properly. He pulled the car over and contacted a tow truck. Subsequently, Michael Hoffer, 43, of Ashland, OH, was given a warning for driving an unsafe vehicle.

Maple St.

Officer responded to a large amount of mud in the roadway. The homeowner, was contacted and he advised he would get the roadway cleaned up as soon as possible.

West Main St.

Officers responded on a possible domestic dispute. Contact was made with all parties, who had calmed down. Parties were advised to contact law enforcement in the future for a civil standby to avoid any issues.

Officer responded on a 911 follow-up and was advised that everything was fine. Officer checked the building and did not find anything out of the ordinary.

Officers responded to a report of noises inside and outside of a residence. Officers searched outside and inside the residence and found nothing out of the ordinary.

Officer responded on a fire hydrant leak, contacted Public Works and a crew arrived on scene to fix the leak.

West Bigelow Ave.

Officers responded to a structure fire, along with the fire department. Officers were requested to close West Bigelow Ave between Friend Street and West Main Street. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed and the roads were reopened, they returned to patrol.

Officers responded to a possible Protection Order Violation. After further investigation, it appeared that there was no violation that occurred.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

East South St.

Officers were notified of a confirmed arrest warrant out of London Police Department for Michael Milington II, 36, of Plain City. Contact was made with Michael, he was placed into custody without incident and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.

Officer responded to the area of Wellsley Way and Murlay Dr on a suspicious person. Officer canvassed the area but was able to locate anyone matching the description that was given.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a found credit card and driver's license. The officer took possession of the items, contact was made with the owner and the items were returned to the owner.

Officer responded on a request for a civil standby and stood by until he was no longer needed. The caller advised she wanted the incident documented.

Officer responded to a possible burglary in progress. The caller stated, she heard noises inside after returning home. Officers searched the interior and found nothing out of the ordinary.

Officers responded to an open door, checked the interior and nothing was out of the ordinary. Keyholders were attempted however, contact couldn't be made. The door was secured and a note was left.
