On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer learned subject, who was previously placed under arrest, requested that his vehicle was left on scene. When subject's acquaintance came to the location to retrieve the vehicle, it was no longer at the listed location. Officer then reviewed security video from neighboring business, and observed subject's Chevrolet truck was towed. Officer then contacted towing company, and after further investigation, Officer learned subject's vehicle was towed at the request of subject's brother. Subject was advised, and after determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.

Counterfeit

On the stated date and time, Officer spoke to subject in reference to a counterfeit bill. Subject advised that one of his driver's from the route that services Plain City, received a counterfeit $5 bill as payment for their order.  Caller advised he didn't think the business intentionally passed the bill and that the bill will be taken to his bank as part of their normal operations and handled appropriately.  Subject said he just wanted our agency to be aware of the counterfeit bill in case there are any additional reports in our area.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a deceased person.  Upon arrival, Medic had already pronounced subject deceased and cleared the scene. Officer stood by until the Hospice worker and funeral home representative arrived on scene.  Once assistance was no longer needed,  Officer returned to patrol.

Suspicious Circumstances

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious circumstance. The caller advised she had been upstairs, in the shower, before coming down and seeing her screen window ajar. Upon arrival, Officer checked the surrounding area and the open screen, but saw nothing unusual. Officer made contact with caller and advised her it may have been due to heavy winds over the past thirty minutes. Once determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Animal Complaint - Other

South Chillicothe St.

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol in the listed location when observing a loose white retriever-poodle mix canine. Officer was able to corral the canine and was then advised by a passerby that the canine belongs to the listed location. Officer made contact with owners, who advised the dog got out while they were tending to one of their toddlers. The canine was returned, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Dispatch advised that caller stated the 911 call was accidental. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the resident, who stated caller did not live at that residence. Dispatch made contact with caller, who stated he was mowing the lawn at that residence and was no longer in the area. Once determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Animal Complaint - Other

Maple St.

On this date and time, Officer received a complaint about a loose dog that was located at the listed location.  Upon arrival, Officer took possession of a chocolate lab and secured it in the dog kennel at the old police department. The Union County Dog Warden agreed to scan the dog for a microchip, determining the owner.  Officers were able to make contact with owner and owner retrieved the dog a short while later. Owner was warned about the permitting his dog running at large.

On the stated date and time, Officer met with resident at the police department, who advised Officer that she was driving near the listed location when observing a clipboard fall off of a white SUV. Upon inspecting the clipboard, Officer located several pieces of paper that determined the owner. Officer left owner a message to come to the police department to retrieve his items.

Domestic Dispute

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a possible domestic dispute. The caller stated that an intoxicated female was on the front lawn of the listed location and appeared to be in a verbal dispute with several parties. Upon arrival, Officer learned the female subject had become upset when the other two parties would not give her the keys to her vehicle. Officer advised subject that she was visibly too intoxicated to drive. After subject agreed to remain calm and inside the residence for the remainder of the night, Officer then returned to patrol. Later that evening, Officer was dispatched back to the residence. Officer was advised that following Officer's departure, subject became upset and argumentative again. Subject stated that she was unable to find a ride.  A friend transported subject to a nearby hotel. Officer then returned to patrol

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to an unconscious person. Upon arrival, Officer observed a 2013 Chrysler 200 with a female inside. Officer made contact with subject, who stated she was sleeping and waiting on a friend to wake up in the nearby apartments. Once determining everything to be okay, Officers returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when observing a silver Hyundai Accent illegally parked in front of the listed location. Officer made contact with the registered owner and advised her to move the vehicle. Owner complied, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, Officers met with caller, who stated that he accidently dialed 911 while listening to music on his phone. After deeming everything to be okay, Officers returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a non-injury crash. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with Zach King, who advised that he was backing out of his residence in a 2000 white Ford Explorer, when he struck an unoccupied, parked car in the roadway. Officer observed a white 2018 Toyota Camry with heavy damage to the driver's side doors and frame and contacted the owner to advise her of the damage. Zach was issued a citation for Starting and Backing. Officer then returned to patrol.

Loud Noise/Disturbance

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. Upon arrival, Officer observed four people sitting near the courts listening to music and talking. Officer advised the party of the complaint and requested the volume be turned down.  Officer then returned to patrol.
