An anonymous complainant advised two males were going door to door attempting to recruit members for a church.  After confirming they were not soliciting, Officer advised them to contact the Police Department and obtain a no knock list. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to make contact with subject.  MCSO advised that a vehicle registered to subject was located parked off the side of the road in Trotwood (OH). Officer made contact with subject who advised it was her sons. Officer forwarded MCSO the phone number for subject’s son. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference domestic violence. Officers made contact with Patrick Souza and female subject. Patrick was subsequently placed under arrest for Domestic Violence (ORC 2919.25). He was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a well being check. Westerville PD requested Officer check the listed location to see if subject had returned home. Upon arrival Officer was unable to make contact with anyone. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a prowler. The caller advised someone had been on her roof and now the lights on her television keep coming on and her kitchen lights were brighter than normal. Officer did not observe any footprints in the snow, or any indication someone was on her roof.  Officer advised subject of his finding and un-plugged her television at her request.
A CIT was completed.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference found property. Caller advised that he found an Arizona license plate in his lawn. After contact was made with Tucson Police Department, they advised the best course of action would be to send the plate to Arizona Motor Division, which would then return it to the owner. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference a suspicious circumstance. Officer made contact with subject who advised that she received a call from an unknown person stating that she had "4 charges pending from local cops and to call as soon as possible." Officer advised that this was fraudulent.  Officer referred subject to the Attorney General's Office. Once Officer determined everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location on the report of a child who was refusing to get up to go to school. Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant and her 10 year old son. Son agreed to listen to his mother and would go to bed earlier so he could get up at the appropriate time. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer observed two vehicles stopped in traffic in the turn lane on SR 161 (East Main Street) at Chillicothe Street. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the listed parties. Both parties stated that there had been a crash. For more information see crash report and photos.

Non-Injury Crash/Private

Officer, while sitting stationary at Marathon witnessed a non-injury accident in the parking lot of the listed location. Officer made contact with subject, who was backing his 2008 black Ford Taurus out of a parking spot on the east side of the business and his vehicle sideswiped an unoccupied 2008 silver GMC Envoy. Officer took subject’s information and left a business card on the Envoy for the owner to contact Officer. See media file for further.

Officer responded to Plain City-Georgesville Road and Cemetary Pike on the report of a two vehicle non-injury crash.  Officer stood by until the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived on scene and then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched in the area of 143 West Second Avenue in reference to a solicitor complaint. Officer patrolled the area for several minutes before locating a male matching the description on the roadway in front of 155 West Second Avenue. Officer identified the male as, Paul E. Williams Jr. Paul who advised he worked for, T.O.P Marketing, out of Columbus and he was making contact with people from a list in an attempt to save them money on their energy bills. Mr. Williams was released and issued a summons for Peddler/Solicitor (PC ORD 723.01).

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival Officer spoke with complainant. Complainant advised someone told him they observed the vehicle in the driveway of Titus Rd, Raymond, Ohio. Deputy advised the vehicle was in the driveway.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person(s). The complainant advised two white males had walked in and out of the business multiple times without purchasing anything.  Officer made contact with a white male seated in the driver seat of the vehicle that identified himself as Larry Taylor, Jr.  A second Officer arrived on scene and made contact with a male that identified himself as, Corey Pazder, inside Mike’s Pit Stop. After further investigation it was found that the Jeep and the vehicle registration were stolen. Both parties were charged with Receiving Stolen Property. See Case/Media for further.

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of East Main Street and North Avenue in reference to a water main break. Upon arrival, Officer was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Office was requested by Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 49 to assist with a disabled vehicle on SR 161 near Warner Rd. The driver advised he was not injured just needed help getting back on the road. A passerby with a pick-up truck assisted with pulling the vehicle out of a ditch. After deeming everything fine Officer returned to patrol.

Officer observed a maroon Chevy S-10 parked in front of the listed location. Due to a snow emergency Officer attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner.  Officer was unable to make contact with the owner. The vehicle was not impeding the plow trucks ability to clear the roadway.

Officer stopped at SR 161 near Kramer Road to assist Deputy of the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a disabled vehicle. While assisting with the vehicle Officer stepped on ice which caused him to fall and strike the back of his head. After speaking with the medics Officer was transported for evaluation.

Officer was dispatched to Fairfield Drive in reference to a courtesy transport.  Subject advised dispatch that she was homeless and needed a ride to West Jefferson.  Upon arrival, Officer met with subject and transported subject to the Big Darby Baptist Church where she was relayed to West Jefferson Police Department.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.
