fishing complaint. Dispatch advised several males were using a fishing bow to
catch fish. Upon arrival Officer met with the fishing parties. They advised
they did not know the Village had an ordinance prohibiting them from using a
fishing bow. They apologized and left immediately.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Plain City-Georgesville
Road in reference to a driving complaint. Dispatch advised a silver Ford
Focus was seen swerving all over the roadway, driving north bound on Plain
City-Georgesville near Converse- Huff. Prior to arrival to the area, the
Officer was informed the vehicle pulled into a driveway, just south of the
Village limits. The vehicle was then seen pulling out of the driveway and
took off in an unknown direction. Officer located the vehicle, traveling
north bound on Plain City Georgesville Road, north of Converse-Huff. Officer
initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle for Failure to Display Plates.
After investigation, Cherokee L. Griffith was cited for No Operators License,
Expired Tags. The vehicle was then released to a valid driver.

theft. Upon arrival the involved party stated that she believed that a friend
of hers had just stolen her cell phone from her home.
The phone was wirelessly located in Dublin, Ohio. The phone was returned to its owner. Charges are pending more information. |

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a
possible telephone scam. Upon arrival Officer met with involved party. She
stated she received a call from a "foreign sounding" man. The man
advised her that there was an affidavit stating she owed back taxes in the
amount of $1000 for tax years 2009 and 2014. The man advised that if she paid
today, that the IRS would accept $600 and forgive the remaining balance. The
man would not answer her when she asked whose name was on the affidavit or who
he was even attempting to call. She advised the man that she would be
contacting an attorney and the Police and that she would not be paying
anything to him.

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Plain
City-Georgesville Road and Converse Huff Road in reference to an injured
bicyclist. Upon arrival, Officer met with Medic 261 and the victim. Officer
learned that the victim was riding his bicycle southbound on PCGR. He advised
me that a black vehicle, unknown make/model, was driving very close to his
bicycle. The vehicle did not strike him or his bicycle. It scared him and
caused him to go into the ditch. He refused to be transported and the medics
wrapped his ankle. Victim advised that he was fine to ride his bicycle home.

Officer was dispatched to the area of the listed location in
reference to a road hazard. The complainant advised that there was a
welding/oxygen tank in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer located a metal
tank, inside a molded plastic sleeve. The tank had no markings on it, was
rusted and did not have a nozzle. An individual arrived on the scene and
assisted in getting it to the Street Department where it was disposed of.

Officer received complaint at the listed location. She advised
that someone has been using her debit card number at several different
locations. She stated that she still has her debit card. She contacted her
bank and they advised her to get a police report for reimbursement. She
provided the Officer with her statement information for follow-up on it for
possible suspects. Her total loss was $81.03.

raccoon. The raccoon was sitting in the flower bed next to the house. The
homeowner advised that she saw the raccoon walking and it appeared drunk. Officer used the pole-noose and dragged the raccoon out to the back yard. The raccoon
was then dispatched and disposed of.

complaint. Upon arrival located Kaylor Smith who was soliciting for Aptive
Pest Control. Kaylor did not possess the required permit and was issued a
summons for Soliciting without a Permit and advised of his court date. He was
advised to cease soliciting and to leave the area.

possible break in. Upon arrival, the Officer met with the resident who
appeared to be confused and disoriented. She stated that an older male with
grey hair wearing a red shirt and brown pants walked in through her front
door and sat on the floor and then disappeared. Officer checked the interior
and exterior of the residence and did not locate anyone or anything out of
the ordinary. Resident's daughter arrived on scene and advised that she is on
medication and is known to hallucinate. Medic 261 arrived on scene and
checked the health of resident.

that she woke up to her house alarm but didn't hear or see anyone. Officer
relayed this information to UCSO.

domestic dispute. Upon arrival Officer made contact with involved party. She
stated that the other involved party was saying things about her
intentionally loud while on his cell phone. She requested I speak with him.
Upon making contact with the other party, he advised she and her friend were
intentionally talking about him, loud enough so he could hear. Both parties
agreed to have no further contact and use better judgment in the future.

Officer observed a blue Ford Escape parked on the lot of the
listed location, running, with its lights on. Officer couldn’t see anyone
inside the vehicle, due to the driver's seat being laid back. Upon further
inspection of the vehicle, I observed a female sleeping in the driver's seat.
Officer was able to awake the sleeping female, she advised she was on her way
home from work and was getting tired, so she pulled over to take a nap.

Officer observed a white Chevrolet pickup parked on the lot of
the listed location. Officer also observed the vehicle in the same spot a few
hours prior. Upon further inspection, Officer observed a male sleeping in the
driver's seat. I woke him up and learned that he had completed a job in
Delaware, Ohio and was on his way home when he began to get tired. He pulled
over to take a short nap. Officer requested a K9 Unit from Hilliard. The K9
alerted to the passenger side door of the vehicle. Upon searching the
vehicle, Officers located some Marijuana shake on the driver's seat. After
concluding the search, the male was released from the scene.

Officer received a call from the Hilliard Police Department in
reference to a missing juvenile. Officer was advised that the juvenile had
left his residence approximately 30-45 minutes prior and was last seen
walking towards the Heritage Rails to Trails. He was described as 6' tall,
130 lbs, blonde/blue and wearing boots and a grey hoodie. HPD K9 Unit picked
up a track on the trail, but were unable to continue the track. Officer and a
back up Officer walked a couple hundred yards on the trail and were unable to
locate the juvenile.

Officer was dispatched to the gazebo at Pleasant Valley Colony
in reference to a suspicious person. Caller stated that there was a male
walking around in a black shirt and white pants that she did not recognize.
Upon arrival, Officer met with involved party who stated that his girlfriend
was a home healthcare nurse and he was just waiting for her to take care of a
patient. Officer spoke with the girlfriend and she confirmed that they were
on their way home from a graduation party before heading to her patient’s
residence and just told him to hang out for a bit.

Officer observed two vehicles parked on the east side of the
listed location. Officer made contact with two juveniles. The male advised
that he was trying to assist in getting the female home because she was lost
and couldn’t see very well at night. The Officer spoke with the female to
confirm this asked her for identification, which she did not have. Officer
asked her for her name and DOB. She advised the Officer her name, a date of
birth and that she was eighteen years old. Upon trying to locate her, Officer
was unable. Officer asked her again for her information and this time asked
for an address. She provided the correct address and the Officer was able to
locate her, however the date of birth came back different. I confirmed this
with her and she admitted to lying because she didn't want to get in trouble
for curfew. Her Father was contacted and arrived a short time later to pick
her up. The male called a ride due to not having a valid driver's license

Officer was dispatched to the area of Plain City Georgesville
Road in reference to a silver Pontiac G6 that was reportedly northbound
towards Plain City and the driver was intoxicated. Dispatch advised the call
was forwarded to us from the Madison County Sheriff's Office. While checking
the area the Officer located the vehicle north bound on South Chillicothe
Street. Officer was able to the catch up with the vehicle on North
Chillicothe Street at US Rte 42. Officer observed the vehicle travel left of
center near Rickard Road. Officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the
driver. Officer advised the driver why she was stopped. She admitted to
drinking earlier and agreed to complete some field sobriety test. Upon
completion of the test the driver was determined not to be impaired. She was
given a warning for the lane violation.

Officer found all doors and windows to be secured. Officer stood by until

Officer was dispatched to a non injury crash that took place on
a no name alley between the listed location and Marathon. Upon arrival,
Officer met with involved party who stated that while reversing out of a
parking spot, he accidently bumped into a parked car on the other side of the
alley causing minor damage to his rear bumper and minor damage to the other
vehicle's passenger side front fender. The involved vehicles were a silver
2002 Honda Civic. The victim's vehicle was a black 2012 Ford Focus. Officer
assisted both parties exchange information and obtained photos of the scene.

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Friend Street and
West Bigelow in reference to a large tree branch hanging from a power line.
Upon arrival Officer located the branch hanging from the line. Upon the
arrival of Engine 261, they were able to remove the limb and determined that
there was no damage to the line. Officer made contact with the homeowner and
assisted with removing the limb from the roadway.

Hilliard Police Department requested that Officer check the
listed location in reference to a missing juvenile. Upon arrival, Officer
spoke with the resident who advised that he had no idea of a missing
juvenile. He stated that he would talk to his family and determine if any of
his family members knew of anything. His wife then called and stated that she
believed she saw a juvenile that looked like juveniles description a week
earlier during the parade walking around with a heavier set juvenile. Both
stated that none of their kids knew the missing juvenile but would call if
they saw him walking around or heard anything else. Officer relayed this
information to Hilliard Police and returned to patrol.

someone coughing behind the residents house. Upon arrival Officer checked the
area. Officer then met with the caller. She advised she heard someone
coughing and thought it was strange. She advised she does hear her neighbor
behind her sitting outside sometimes and he smokes. She then advised he
usually coughs a lot so it was probably him. Officer advised her they checked
the area and did not locate anyone out walking around. She thanked me for
checking.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a
male messing around in a red car outside the unit. The caller advised
dispatch that the male was sweating and just wanted him checked out. Upon
arrival Officer met with male standing by a red Chevrolet hatchback. Officer
advised the male about the complaint and inquired as to why he was there. He
advised that he had come to stay for a few weeks with his uncle due to his
uncle needing assistance due to poor health. He advised that he was hanging
out outside cooling down after just working out it must have caught the
neighbors attention. He thanked the Officer several times for checking on the
call and advised he feels his uncle is very safe with neighbors watching out
in the area.
