Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible theft of water. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised me that one of the construction guys from North Alderwood Circle used his outside water spigot. Officer than met with subject who advised his co-worker was supposed to have gone to the Model Home and gotten water.  Subject advised he would ensure that his co-worker does not go back to the caller’s house.  The caller advised he did not want to pursue the matter and he would speak with the building supervisor about the incident and settle water cost with them. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was at the police department when Officer was met by complainant who advised he had found a small tan and brown Chihuahua running on North Chillicothe Street near Pastime Park. Officer thanked complainant for bringing it in and took possession of the dog..  Officer then secured it in the dog pen with food and water before returning to patrol.  At 1700 hours Officer was met on station by subject who advised the dog belonged to his cousin.  Officer released the dog to subject.

Officer was met at the police department by complainant who advised Officer that that she met a guy on line a few weeks ago. Complainant advised that today he asked her permission to have cell phones and other devices delivered to her home where a friend would later pick them up. Complainant advised she is not out any money; she just wanted the police department to be aware of the situation. Officer advised complainant that she can refuse delivery of any packages that may be delivered to her residence. Officer then returned to patrol.

Complainant arrived on station and advised that someone has been regularly driving on the field that belongs to his business. Complainant stated the individual does this between 5:30P and 6:30P throughout the week.  Complainant did not wish to file any charges on the culprit, but advised if caught he would like them warned. Officer then returned to patrol.

North Chillicothe St.
Officer met subject at the Police Department in reference to a found dog. Officer had knowledge who the dog belonged to and made contact with her via public service. Canine owner met Officer at the Police Department and retrieved the dog. Officer warned canine owner of the possible consequences if the dog continued to run loose. She apologized and stated that she would be more careful with the dog. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location on the report of a non-injury crash. Upon arrival, Officer observed a blue Honda Civic and a gray Toyota Prius at Nappa Alley, both with front end damage. Linda Coates, driver of the Toyota was issued a citation for Failure to Yield when turning left. See corresponding numbers for further information.

Officer was contacted by phone by complainant who advised that her ex boyfriend had been making comments via phone about committing suicide.  Officers made contact with subject who advised that he was sorting out his feelings at this time but denied any thoughts of hurting himself or anyone else.  Subject requested that we contact the complainant and advise her not to contact him anymore in the future. He was also advised not to contact her.  Officer made contact with complainant via phone and relayed the findings. She was also told not to contact subject in the future.
A CIT report was completed.

Officer was met on station by complainant who advised that an unknown person had used his debit card without permission to make the withdrawals from the ATM machine located on the lot of the Shell station. Complainant still has his card in his possession, but believes that the card was used with his permission and returned each time.  For more information see case.

Officer then met with subject.  A short time later, complainants were advised no criminal offense had occurred and were suggested to get curtains/blinds if they did not want to be seen inside their home. Officer conducted a routine registration check on a grey Honda Accord.  The registration returned to Eric Beale a suspended driver. Eric Beale.  Eric was issued a citation for driving on an FRA Suspension and No Valid OL. Eric’s vehicle was towed to the Plain City Police Department Impound lot.  Eric was given a courtesy ride to McDonald’s by Officer where Eric was going to wait for his ride.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office requested Officer check the area of State Route 161 and Cemetery Pike for an injured deer possibly in the roadway. Upon my arrival, Officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the deer.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer met complainants at the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. Complainant stated that earlier in night a white SUV immediately began to follow her. She also stated that the same incident had occurred with that vehicle approximately a week ago. Officer advised complainant to contact the Police Department immediately if the vehicle follows her again so that we could find out the cause and suspect.  Complainant thanked Officer for him time and Officer returned to patrol.

Officer met with employees at the listed location in reference to a maroon Buick LeSabre that had been left on their lot. There are signs posted that says the lot is for customers only. Dispatch was able to find a telephone number for the owner of the vehicle who agreed to come move the vehicle. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded to SR 161 and Butler Avenue on the report of a car versus deer crash.   Crash caused damage to the left side view mirror and minor scratches on the door and rear, left quarter panel. The deer was unable to be located. See corresponding numbers for further information.

Officer was on patrol near 124 E. Main St. when he conducted a routine registration check on a white Ford truck and learned to registered owner, Paul Woodworth, was driving under suspension.  Paul was subsequently issued a citation for OVI Suspension and No Valid OL before being released to a valid driver.  The vehicle was towed to the Plain City Police Impound lot.

Officer was dispatched to the area of West Main Street and Maple Street in reference to a white Eagle Express box truck reportedly having trouble maintaining its lane. Upon speaking with the driver he advised he had moved over to make the turn onto Maple Street and did not know he exited his lane. Officer advised the driver to watch the lane more closely in the future especially with other traffic around. He advised he would, Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to assist their units in reference to a suspect that fled a traffic stop. The suspect later gave up and was taken into custody without further incident. Officer then returned to patrol.
