Officer responded to the area of SR 161 and Butler Ave at the request of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. At their request, Officer closed all eastbound traffic due to a traffic crash that had occurred just east of the corporation line. Officer closed the roadway until instructed to re open it. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to respond to SR161W at Middleburg-Plain City Road in reference to a vehicle taking out the stop sign. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to SR161W between Middleburg Plain City Road and SR38 for a vehicle blocking the roadway. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate any vehicle blocking the roadway. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location at the request of the Columbus Police Department in reference to a message delivery. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who stated that he had just got off the phone with Columbus Police Department.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a non breather. Medic personnel pronounced subject deceased at 1422 hours. Union County Coroner Investigator released the body to Ferguson Funeral Home. See case for further.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a criminal damaging complaint. Complainant requested Officer document the incident for insurance purposes. Complainant thanked Officer for Officer's  time and Officer  returned to patrol.

Attempted Suicide

North Ave.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a possible domestic dispute and overdose. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with all parties involved.  A female subject agreed to be voluntarily transported to the hospital by medic. Officer confirmed with all parties involved the dispute was strictly verbal. Another female subject was extremely upset and warned for disorderly conduct. Once all parties were calm and separated, Officer returned to patrol.  A CIT report was completed for this incident.

Dogwood Ct.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a juvenile who wasn't able to get in contact with his mother. While en route, dispatch advised Officer that the juvenile had spoken with his stepdad and learned that his mom was on her way home. Upon arrival, Officer met with juvenile who stated that he was just worried because he couldn't reach his mother and everything is okay. Officer then returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint

Buggywhip Ln.

Officer received a call from the Village Administrator of a possible junked vehicle near the intersection of Buggy Whip Lane and Surrey Court. Officer made contact with vehicle owner.  Officer advised to have the vehicle moved within twenty-four hours or it could be impounded.  A short time later, Officer spoke with vehicle owner's husband who advised that he was in the process of getting the vehicle moved and would try to have this done by the beginning of next week.  Later that week Officer checked the location for the vehicle and found it to be gone. Therefore, no further follow-ups are needed.

Officer observed a red Dodge Durango parked on the north side of the listed location. Officer made contact with the vehicle owner. Subject advised that she just pulled over to finish some work before she headed home. Subject apologized for any inconvenience and Officer returned to patrol.

Subject moved the vehicle without incident. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious circumstances complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant and advised Officer that she found hypodermic needle caps in the parking lot and asked if they can be removed. Officer collected two caps and placed them in the sharps container on station. Officer then returned to patrol.
