Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. A short time later, the vehicle crashed in a field and the suspect fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Andrew Prescod, 33, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with Failure to Comply. Additional charges are pending. He was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
