Parking Complaint

Gray St.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The anonymous complainant advised a white van had two flat tires and had been parked on the roadway for several days without moving. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who advised the vehicle belonged to his son and he would have him move it as soon as possible. Officer advised subject the vehicle was legally parked; however, it cannot be parked on the roadway with flat tires. Officer then returned to patrol.

Suspicious Person

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person. The caller advised they observed an elderly female walking near the porch of the listed location. The caller advised the female vacated the area prior to Officer’s arrival. Officer patrolled the area but was unable to locate anyone matching the suspicious person’s description. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Pursuit

North Chillicothe St.

Officer was traveling southbound on North Chillicothe St near Pastime Park when Officer observed a red Ford SUV with only one operational headlight. Officer also observed it did not have a visible registration. Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop with the vehicle. The vehicle then accelerated to a high rate of speed and attempted to elude Officer on several country roadways. The vehicle eventually turned into the yard on Currier Rd and the vehicle got stuck in a field just north of Officers location. The suspect fled on foot and was unable to be located. The suspect was later identified as, Victor Dematteis. A warrant for Failure To Comply was issued for Victor. See Case for further.

On the stated date and time, Officer was requested by the UCSO to assist with a consent search out of a traffic stop on US 33 near SR 161.  After assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

Suspicious Vehicle

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Dispatch advised the caller stated there was yelling coming from a vehicle on the roadway which woke caller up. Upon arrival, Officer observed a 2010 Chevy Malibu.  Officer made contact with the occupants who advised there wasn't any sort of dispute.  They advised they were in the area waiting for a nearby friend to text them back so they could stay at their residence. While on scene, their friend sent a reply text message confirming they could stay. Once Officer determined everything to be okay, Officers returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was met at the Police Department by male subject who requested a civil standby. Subject requested Officer standby while the female subject dropped off their grandson.  However, female subject never showed up for the exchange. Officer then returned to patrol.

Domestic Dispute

North Ave.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. The caller stated that they could hear several subjects arguing inside the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with both parties.  Both parties stated that they were involved in a verbal dispute due to their relationship issues. Officer observed that male subject had a large cut on his hand. Male subject stated that while he was upset he struck a mirror causing the cut. Medic responded to check male subject’s hand, but male subject declined medical treatment. Male subject agreed to go to a family member’s residence for the remainder of the night. Once male subject left the residence, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Dispatch advised the anonymous caller stated that the male from an earlier domestic dispute had returned to the residence. Dispatch advised the caller is concerned that the incident may be physical now. Upon arrival, Officer met with both parties who advised Officer that nothing was going on now and they were trying to sleep. They both agreed to stay civil and to call if there are any issues. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised me that subject had blocked off the lot next to his business without consent. Officer then met with subject and advised him of the complaint. Subject then took down the barricade tape and apologized advising they had talked to the caller about using the lot for a poker run but apparently caller forgot. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to Noteman Road in reference to a report of grass clipping being left in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer met with resident who was blowing the grass clippings off the road. Officer advised resident of the complaint. Resident advised she had just finished mowing and was working on getting it all cleaned up. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Complainant advised multiple vehicles had parked at his business’ parking lot, however, were patrons of Lee’s Sports and Spirits. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the owner of Lee’s who apologized and advised he would get them moved. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a custody exchange. The caller advised they would like an officer present to avoid any confrontations. Upon the arrival of both parties, Officer stood by while the child walked from mom's vehicle to grandpa's vehicle and got in. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The anonymous complainant advised a white van had the rear passenger wheel off and had not moved since their first complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who advised that they had trouble changing the tire. Officer advised subject to have the vehicle moved or legally parked by Monday morning, if not the vehicle would be receiving a parking ticket and possibly towed.

Officer was on station when Officer was met by subject who advised she found a wallet at the listed location. Officer then was able to make contact with the wallet owner, who came to the police department a short time later and picked it up. Officer then returned to patrol.
