Drunk Driver

South Jefferson Ave.

On the stated date and time, while on routine patrol, Officer observed a female stumbling towards a tan Toyota Corolla that was parked at the rear of the listed location. While conducting a registration check, a male subject, flagged me down and stated that the female was lost and looking for Columbus. Officer made contact with the female, later identified as Bobbi Queen. Her vehicle was running and she was sitting in the driver's seat. Upon further investigation, Bobbi appeared to be under the influence of illicit narcotics. She was unable to complete any FST's and was placed into custody for Physical Control. Her vehicle was secured on the scene and she was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. Bobbi was subsequently charged with Physical Control and booked into the jail. See corresponding number for further information.

Other Dispute

West South St.

UCSO Deputy and Officer were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Dispatch advised the female participant and her children left the residence on foot. Officer made contact with the above parties at the Plain City Elementary School, where they were transported voluntarily back to the listed location to investigate the domestic dispute. Officer met with both parties who advised the dispute was only verbal prior to female leaving.  Officer then stood by while female gathered her belongings from the residence. She, along with children, were then transported to the Police Department because female advised she was homeless and did not have anywhere to go. Officer attempted to contact several shelters and hotels but was not able to find a resolution partially due to the fact female did not have any identification. The Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services was contacted and the on-call worker responded to the Police Department. Female subject was provided several options to avoid the removal of the children, but she refused all available options. An ex-parte order was granted thus MCJFS took emergency custody of the children.
