Injury Crash

US Rt. 42 N

On this date and time, Officer responded to the listed location and SR 161 on the report of an injury crash. Upon arrival, Officer met with the drivers of both vehicles. Subject 1 who was driving a blue Chevy truck advised he was southbound on US 42N and had a green light as he approached the intersection. Subject 1 proceeded through the intersection and struck the rear of a car that was toward the tail end of a funeral procession. Subject 1 was able to drive his truck from the scene, but subject 2’s van was towed from the scene.  Due to the circumstances of the crash with subject 1 having a green light, there allegedly being a gap between the cars in the funeral procession, and the obstructed view from cars in the left turning lane, no citation was issued. See crash and media for further information.
