I initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle owner/driver, Izabelle Shaw and her passenger. Izabelle was subsequently issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Marijuana Paraphernalia. Izabelle was also issued a traffic citation of No Valid OL and Non Compliance Suspension. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that she had recently discovered that an unknown person had activated a credit card in her husband’s name, three days after he passed away. Caller was unable to give any further details on the account due to it not being under her name. Caller stated that she needed a copy of the Police Report to provide to the bank. 4/13/2019 | 6:43 PM | Traffic Stop | South Chillicothe St. | Officer observed a black Nissan Sedan traveling northbound on South Chillicothe St. The vehicle had a large crack on the front windshield that spider webbed across the entire windshield. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle for the above safety violation. Officer made contact with the vehicle driver, Amanda Zornes, and her passenger, Steven Butler. Officer observed that neither party was wearing their safety belts. Steven and Amanda were both issued traffic citations for no seat belt. Amanda was advised to drive the vehicle to her residence and not to drive again until the windshield was fixed. Amanda was given a verbal warning for operating an unsafe vehicle. | Pending | |
